| Yeah, I know it seemed close for a while, but that was only due to us bombing 5 or 6 good scoring chances. Once we got our act together it was just a question of how many, particularly near the end when the Cats players looked out on their feet.
McIlorum had another outstanding match, fully deserved the sponsor's pick, but I was also impressed with Ben Flower, who I thought outplayed even Mossop today.
The Catalans faces when Josh grounded that last try were just lovely to watch...how the **** did that ball stay infield?

| McIlorum was superb. His attacking play has come on so much this year and he was more willing to get out of dummy half and trouble the defence himself. Outstanding effort and definitely the best player on the field.
Flower, Lima and Mossop were impressive while Lauaki was rightly hauled off for running in and pushing the Catalans player. If you're going to run in you've got to punch the guy.
Another good all round performance and I can't really think of a player who didn't play well, which is exactly how it should be.
Also worth a mention is Gareth Hock who was brilliant all game.

| Id say it was a good performance with alot to improve on, which is even more positive. If the ball stuck in the first 20mins we could have racked up another big score IMO we was opening them up easily at times.
Hock was my MOTM just infront of McLlorum who is just getting better and better this year, and I agree that Flower was strong today making good yards and impact in defence and attack.

| I really didn't expect us to put so many past them! Coming into this I expected a physical game, and we got just that. But it was also very scrappy, in that first half as you say we bombed a good few trys which meant the half time scoreline somewhat flattered Catalans.
We managed to get going in the second half and once Catalans tired they where there for the taking. They put so much effort into their spoiling tactics etc and I think that just caught up with them.
Gareth Hock was immense today and put in some brilliant runs, aswell as Mcllorum who made some good yards from dummy half and mixed it up well in defence against a big pack.
For me we still gave too many silly penalty's away and a few misplaced passes and silly errors(although the wind may have played its part) but it's good to see us playing expansive rugby and moving the ball about a lot, and when we play like that I guess we should expect to have a few more handling errors. but hopefully they can keep working on it, and more passes will stick.
btw, what the hell was lauaki playing at? I didn't see what he did other than seeing a cats player go flying backwards.

| Except for his stupid offload attempt Hock was MOTM for me. So powerful and he's hitting hard.

| Hock was amazing. Best game since his ban.
Final pass plays were poor at times but overall solid performance.
Lauaki unleashed the rage for the first time, nothing too bad. Running 25 metres to push a player in the face was not needed though.
Silverwoods turning into Ganson with his whistle happy habits.

High shot on Hansen, Silverwood had already blown for the penalty, Eric runs over from 25 yards away and pushes the Cats player over. Waney immediately substitutes him, but then the ref calls him back over to tell him off! I suspect he's still getting an earful from Waney even now...

[quote="Headingley Rhino"]Great win yesterday at our place, there is no denying you are probably the best team in SL as you have proved it all year so I think it's justice done that you have got to Old Trafford. I thought wigan was excellent in the second half and showed why you guys are top dogs this year.: |

| Don't really mind it me I think we lack abit of aggression and biff at times
Played well today eric

| Silverwood still likes to be the centre of things though, doesn't he.
He must be the only referee who specialises in back-to-back penalties (for the opposition, that is). The Cats' second try was definitely down to his interference, and yet he missed plenty of other stuff.
A maddening peformance by the man in the middle.

| "easy" isn't the word I'd use. We made it more difficult for ourselves with general sloppiness in the first half. We should have gone in at half-time two scores in front, not two points behind. We were much more clinical in the second half

Agreed, he continues to defy the critics. Strong going forward and still not seeing many silly penalties or falling of tackles as we was told to expect from a few Hull fans.
Also like that we have both him and Hock who will give it to them. Hock literally frightens some opposition players.

| Hock had a great game today his offload after he made a sensational run was his only bad point, it's form like that which will see him be an international player again.

| Well I thought the first 50 mins we were terrible. It's good to beat a team like that though when you're not playing at your best!
Richard silverwood had the worst game I've seen him have, Catalan are a very dirty team and it will cost them when it comes to winning trophys.
