Watching the Latics v Liverpool match on Sky the pitch seems to be cutting up badly. Not surprising really when you consider the amount of rain we have had in the last week or so but no doubt as soon as our season starts it will be Wigan Rugby who cause the pitch to be in a poor condition

This argument again? In all honesty considering the weather we had I think it looked orite. especially in comparison to what it has looked like in recent years at this time of the year.

It cut up a bit but I've seen it far, far, far worse than that. Just a natural consequence of 2 games in 5 days I suspect.

In the best condition it has been for a long time at this time of year. No game now until Jan 3rd so should be fine.

It's the football that uses the middle of the pitch most :S as goes the saying "win the battle in the midfield win the game"

with the technology available today and good basic groundsmanship there's little excuse for such a bad pitch (like Stade Toulousain) even considering the rainfall levels in the northwest
