Well today I finally got the time in my (wife's) busy pre-Christmas schedule, to get down to Warriors World and buy my new shirt.
Firstly I have to agree with earlier posts re no area set aside for trying kit on.... what were they thinking of?
Anyway, didn't take long to get my size sorted, and then I discovered that the facility for getting letters and numbers applied wasn't available...
What's the crack here? is it just weekends which is the only time I can get down there, or is it a temporary problem? I couldn't get near enough to the paydesk to ask.

I'm going to take this point for point:
In a store that small, if they were to have changing rooms, there would be no room for stock. It's Wigan's in town store - not Harrods, we can only afford to operate from a smallish shop. I'm sure you already know what size you are, or even if you didn't you could just check the top you wore to the store.
The facility to get numbers will only be sorted for new year. My understanding on this is because the guys who operate the machine that does this, are working flat out all day printing the 'JK Guest' on the back of every shirt. Again, with this being the busiest retail period of the year, i'm sure we can allow for this and make a trip down in the new year to get our names on our shirts.
In short, the guys in the store are working bloody hard to get everyone sorted for christmas.

You can leave the shirts with them for printing. I left my kids shirts with them Tuesday and they rang yesterday to say they were ready.
It's not a hardship as I've Only got them as Xmas presents.

alternately, buy another printing machine.
fortunately i live in wigan and can nip back to pick up a shirt..plenty cant.
fitting rooms?....they should have made plans for that before they opened....theres lots of cloths shops a similar size that have the facility.
i agree the staff are working hard..over worked in fact.........answer?..employ some temps

No I disagree entirely, Retail is about fullfilling the customers needs, apart from the outside appearance everything about this shop is amateurish, its simply not good enough.
the design, the layout, the presentation the stock and the service are all way below an acceptable standard for any retail proposition.

| I'm sorry that my simple question regarding the printing machine has ruffled so many feathers, if you re-read my post I did say the size was quickly sorted...
I merely asked if anyone knew if the numbers thing was due to a printer problem or pressure of sales.
So thanks Jeff for taking the time to answer my question.

So it's only shirts they sell...?
I've had 2 sets of trackies back in the last 2 weeks. Neither fit. The sizing isn't the shops (or clubs fault). The lack of facilities is. It's a poor show.
But of course, such opinions are just moaning. I'll leave my cash in my pocket and let the high street chains have it at some stage & carry on benefiting.Â
A previous poster Is correct, it's about pleasing the customer. Doing all you can to ensure they shop with you & not elsewhere

Not everyone may be comfortable trying a shirt on in a tiny shop that is packed full of people, I know I wouldn't.
