| If he's been signed to play prop forward it seems like a dreadful move. He's never looked good as a prop and just doesn't look like the position suits him.
One thing Wigan do need is a wide running back row to do what Joel Tomkins did a couple of seasons ago. We also need someone who plays well down the right hand side because all the back row forwards at the club seem to prefer the left. Hansen has been good on the right, defensively sound, but he doesn't pose an attacking threat (unless you call cutting inside every time he gets space an attacking threat) so I think an attacking player on the right hand side is necessary.
The big question is whether he'll be good enough, because he certainly hasn't looked good enough for a good few years.

| Should do an ok job rotating in and out of the squad at second row/prop alomng with Hock. Hull FC do tend to under-develop players so I wouldn't be suprised if he turned good with us. Hope this isn't our marquee signing though, a centre and a half/hooker should be the bigger priorities!

Fantastic.
Hull have signed:
Lee Williams (York City Knights), Tony Martin (Crusaders RL), Jamie Ellis (Leigh Centurions), Andy Lynch (Bradford Bulls), Eamon O'Carroll (Wigan Warriors), Wade McKinnon (West Tigers), Aaron Heremaia, Brett Seymour (New Zealand Warriors).
This basically says that Hull arnt (sic) interested in winning SL for the forseeable future.

| Hull fans have been wanting rid of their fitness man and coach for years and now they have their wish.
Lauaki like all at Hull has underperformed there.
A new start for him.
He will be going into the pre season schedule and we will have to see how he turns out. I do think he will be better for us than he was for Hull.

| Think Hull have got the better deal with O Carrol heading over, even though he left to get first team rugby, signing Lauaki on cant have helped. 3-4 years? Big risk, and a pretty pointless waste of a quota spot.

| Will be interesting to see how he performs under another coach. Has the ability to become a really good player. His main downfalls were his poor defence and lack of aggression when running in.
If the coaches can get him to play with controlled aggression he could be one of the surprise players next season.

| A three year deal with an option for a fourth for a player who has looked poor for Hull?
Something not right here!

I'd agree with that.

| Luauki has consistently done nothing for the last two years and when he left NZ Warriors they said the same about him too. Im not having a pop at Wigan or its supporters, i just cant believe that a team challenging for silverware (and i dont include ourselves in that group) would take on a player who doesnt run his weight, is poor at tackling and is generally just a lazy player. History says thats not suddenly about to change imo.

| Well he's a Wigan player now, so he'll got my full support. He may not have had the best of times at FC, but I certainly shan't be judging him in Wigan colors before he's even picked up a ball.
Interesting to note that Lenegan has very little of own to say on this signing. It's pretty much all on Wane's shoulders, Shaun wanted him from the beginning. Be a good test of Wane's credentials of turning players around. If Wigan do make Lauaki a success then all credit to Shaun.
