I can remember when 'Billy' signed for Blackpool. Went to see him play. Not good.

strangely though imo Long will be better at Union than Sam could ever be, his style of plays more fitting for Union than Sams

His brother Carl 'Coaches' there.

Also, Karl Fitzpatrick is asst coach and plays centre so there maybe a Salford link there. Graham Holroyd is currently their stand off too, Hr must be about 106 by now!

Plus, at 35 - or whatever he is - his physical peformance will be much more what Union is used to. And if the England squad need someone to show them how to REALLY drink a pub dry, Longy's the man.

Probs more a Wigan link, Karl long and Karl fitzpatrick played in the same Wigan town teams growing up.
