| Great match and about time our play offs threw up a match like that. A credit to both sides/ clubs and a credit to the game. Well played to both clubs; comiserations to Warrington (seriously, best team over the course of the season) and congratulations to Leeds a magnificent effort from them. Good interview from McDermott too, from what I saw of it once Sky sorted themselves out.

I'd agree with that especially about it being about time the play offs threw up a good game. Some of the results so far called the format into question big time IMO. In way this game does as well because the first play off standard game is when only 4 teams are left. Mind you McDermott does seem to have a bit of chip on his shoulder about downtrodden poor old Leeds.
Warrington must be gutted (understatement) but that is knock-out football for you. Anything can happen as it did in the CC. Same applies in the next game. No certain winner or favourite IMO.

| How can he ref 2 games in 2 weeks totally different.
I think this was the right way let the game flow instead of continually blowing for small infringements at the tackle etc, it was more like a State of Origin game and better for it, but totally different from the Wire v Hudds game.
Must have had a word in the ear.
See how it goes tomorrow presumably same as today.

I wonder what they would have given for a second chance now.

| After chuckling alot at Dires demise, I then put my RL hat on and can confidently state that NO Yawnion match could equal the skill and excitment shown in that game last night.
If only we had a governing body like the RU?

| Too many easy games for Wire, Smith can big up the "attractive" rugby they play. What memories will the Wire fans have from the year
1 topped the league by one point (and did not despite the SKY version top the league all season)
2 Scored lots of points
3 lost CC quater final conceading lots of points
4 lost play off semi conceding lost of points
A lot of money and over confidence invested by the Wire fans only suddenly to revert to I hope Saints/Rhinos beat Wigan beacause they are cheats. I was happy with the season after the CC win last night added an unexpected bonus. It can only get better!!!!!

| Fabulous game and not surprised with the result. As an advert for the game it will take some beating and it made me think that I would love to watch some of Wigans better matches as a neutral fan.

Watching him being interviewed on the red button he initially gave the impression that it was job half done and Leeds still needed to perform in the GF.
The longer the interview went on the more he felt he had been vilified by reaching the final and that he had already proven his point.
I was thinking keep talking Brian, keep talking..................
He started well and focused on the next game but the longer it went on the more he seemed to lose focus and have digs at all the doubters.
I think mentally he has already peaked..........
Read into that what you will

| Yawnion is just a load of media driven twonk, the actual product on the field is very very poor in comparison to RL. Imagine the Eng v Scot commentator this morning commentating on last nights game, he'd have carted away with life threatening high blood pressure.
As for Wire, the thing that's done for them is the fact they've had very very few hard close fought matches and they don't know how to win one.
