| Seems Gleeson has now been released by Hull from his contract due to personal issues.
A real shame that such a talented player who should still be the top British centre in the game has ended up like this. i hope someone helps him with whatever his issues are as at 31 the last thing he needs is to be treated like an outcast from the game.

| Would he have sorted himself out at Wigan? I think the last thing he needed this year was the pressure of playing every week and trying to sort his issues out. Credit to Hull for giving him a chance to move on.

23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

| I hope he gets his life straightened out and that it does not spiral downwards once he has left the game.

| Weird.
Sat in the train and was reading the metro about Hull signing Lynch and it got me to thinking about what a good side they could have next year especially if they get Gleeson right.
A real shame. He seems a very popular lad but obviously has problems. I'd imagine he wants to be back round the Wigan area and if he can continue to play I'm sure Widnes or his best mates new club Salford would have a punt on him.

| No other club should sign him now. IMO he has shown at every club he has been to that he is a class player but he has also shown what a mess his personal life is and until that is sorted he doesnt deserve to play rugby league

| I dont know what his personal issues are, you hear the rumours but like mant have said he should be the best centre we have. Talent wise he is the best that has been produced for some time and him and Reed could have been a great centre partnership for England. If he spends 12 months getting himself sorted he could still play for a couple of seasons. Hope he gets the support he needs, the last thing we want is another Terry Newton ( RIP) when a great player cant cope off the field.

| Whatever his issues, in our house he'll always be remembered for his two super tries at OT against the auld enemy.
Hope he sorts his life out.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| I hope he sorts himself out and then we can have him back for 3 years.
More likely he will not and sign for a lower team. He might not even get a contract at this rate.

Wigan rugby league, hated, adored but never ignored
Terry Newton - 07.11.78 - 26.09.10 - R.I.P.: |

My thoughts exactly, Gleeson made some great contributions to the Wigan team's success and we would not have won the Grand final without him. I truely hope he can get some help and finally sort himself out.

| I think he should just back away from Rugby for a few months and get himself sorted before even thinking of looking for a new club. If he manages to put those demons behind him then is the time to start playing again. It is a shame, he was a good player for us and undoubtedly would have gained even greater status had he stayed.

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

| Could and should have stayed with us to finish his career, earned some money, and achieved LEGEND status. If his problems are based on a dependancy (it's a guess, not an allegation) then I'm sure Wire, Wigan and Hull would have done their best to give him the help and support he would have needed. If he can't sort it out, he'll waste a great talent.
Shame.
