| Thnx for those bud!
I said in the Lima thread that I thought he was the best prop on the pitch, and now having seen those stats they back that statement up IMO. Jeff had to pick up the slack left behind from a quite clearly not 100% fit Prescott, and an injured Mossop. Superb stats from the big man and fully deserving of his MOM.
Huge raps to Hoffman also.

| So Sam Tomkins had a quiet game then? That's all I've been hearing since Saturday but he was still our top meter-maker

It's a sign of how high he's set his standards when people suggest he didn't perform on Saturday. He caused problems for Leeds all day and had a big hand in a couple of try's.
A letter in the league express made me smile when it said he 'again' went missing in a big game. Ha ha ha!! He had a good but not great game by his standards but he didn't do too badly in the semi or the quarter final or in the Grand final last year. He won MOM in both those cup games and was only 1 vote behind Tommy in the voting for the Harry Sunderland trophy iirc.
I hope he keeps going missing like that!

I wonder if it's worth pointing out to people that it's a team game, to which he gave a useful contribution?

I stopped buying League Express ages ago mainly for that reason. They seem to intentionally print the most moronic letters just so that people will write back in response. Confuses me no end that people who are able to write can be that stupid!

I was pleasantly surprised reading it today that they didn't make too much of the refs decisions. I expected them to focus solely on the calls rather then the game but they didn't and just said Wigan were the better side.
It was a nice change after listening to people like Jonathan Davies. I've never known him to be like he was after the game on Saturday. He just refused to speak about anything bar the ref.

He outplayed Webb, which is really all he had to do for the team.
And he made 50 metres sideways in setting up Joel's try...
