...Just doing enough to win. Think we had one eye on the big match next week?

We seemed to barely put any real effort in, and Leeds had their game of the season against us, we could have lost with that performance. If it had been Saints or Warrington, we certainly would have.

Fortune has favoured us, though, despite some questionable refereeing decisions both for and against us. Hopefully we have not drained the tank for next week.

I honestly expect maguire to have planned in advance. obviously he can not write how the game went today but he'd have got the players prepared and fit enough to deal with next week aswell as tonight and hopefully make sure they dont get tooo drunk...We could lose next week..But we are fit enough and mentally tough enough to win. I have confidence we will do. We must be due a loss...i hope that comes in the play off "joker-card" because i always felt we looked below par when having a break, consitancy seems to be so important and i dont feel like we have that with a break.

If we win next week, we can afford to lose the last match of the season.

Aren't Wire missing a few through injury?

Wouldn't like to call next week at all.

Yes I thought we were playing under par today. The forwards struggled some and as a result our threequarter line didn't really fire at all. It didn't help with Leeds lying offside most of the game.

Do you honestly think Wigan went out to only just do enough to win?

Get in the real world and show some respect to Leeds who IMO was the better side in the second half.

Shows what can be achieved when you get in the faces of the opposition. Once Leeds stood up to Wigan and stopped allowing themselves to be bullied around the field they gave as good they got. It's a pity Leeds didn't play with the same intensity in lesser games, something Wigan cannot be accused of not doing.

Leeds were only competing in the match because Wigan weren't completing their sets and they were giving away stupid penalties

is that what you think your team did? you are delusional my spotty friend! wigan today held onto the game by the skin of their teeth. leeds outplayed you for most of the second half and to be fair wigan dug in and ground out a deserved win. but to believe they held back to keep enough in the tank for next week is not only stupid but frankly flattering to warrington.

i truly laughed when i read what you posted!

I know one thing, we sure know how to grind a win out. Yep we might look tired and done for, but the reality is we pretty much always get the win regardless.

Gonna be a tough game next week that's for sure. If we win it'll because Wire are missing key players, and if they win it'll be because of our Cup hangover. Those will be the reasons bandied about by both set's of supporters should either lose. And to be honest I'd be inclined to agree with those two points, Wire are missing key players, and the game today will have an effect on our performance next week.
