Has anyone bought one of the official car flags (hooped or Challenge Cup) from the club shop?

what the bloody-hell can i do to ensure the thing doesn't fly of the plastic 'pole' (can it be called a pole when plastic and that small?) before i've even got off the slip road at J27?

i can't believe they can make and sell these things in the fashion they have with absolutely nothing holding them in place. i may as well drive down the M6 on Friday and throw £15 out the window because unless i find something to keep them in place, that's effectively all i'll be doing...

tried stapling them - staples wont stay in
tried sellotaping the bottom - results in the bottom section becoming tight and ruining the text on the flag


anybody else found a cure? Surely there'll be thousands of us driving to Wembley with these things? we'll be leaving a carpet of cherry & white flag on the M6 at this rate!

I secure mine on the plastic poley things with cable ties only need to be thin ties use two to be on the safe side, seems to work ok so far for me

But where the bloody hell do you put them without it making the flag 'scrumpled' lol? Or do you cut a little hole in the flag and put it through?

Yes. Cut two little holes and feed the cable ties through them. We did it and it worked fine.

Just make sure the cable ties are fastened as tight as possible. We drove up to hull without any problems

I have been in the club shop twice when people have been in to return theirs because of the same reason. Can't understand why they sell them like that. Cable ties are the best idea tho
