| Played badly, won easily. It's a long time since I've seen a team as bad as Wakey in the top flight, and if we'd played half as well as we can we'd have put 100 on them.
Impressed with Cross on debut, especially after such a long time out, and also impressed with our right side defence; they were attacking Deacon, Marsh & Charnley all night and came away with nothing. My MoM has to be Gaz though, not only for his hat-trick but the way he was buzzing all night in both attack and defence.

| Not the best of games tonight, got the job done and hopefully everyone will pull through for next week. Really impressed with Hock's performance, ran strong and solid in defence. Oh and the Hattrick wasn't too bad either

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| I think people moaning about Cross have been silenced, played very well and is what we have been lacking at prop for yonks, some big aggressive battering ram. I wouldn't mind signing him for next year should Coley or Fielden retire

That left side, with Hock & Hoffman alternating, is looking awesome for the run in!

| Hock was superb today he seems to be linking up with Finch well
Cross also impressed on debut, I cant see anyone bullying our pack at all from now on this season.
Frustrating game, just shows how bad Wakefield are when we scored almost 50 points despite dropping the ball about 100 times.

Yeah, it wasn't just the knock-ons, though, it just seemed a lacklustre performance most of the game, occasionally switching on to show how they can play when they put their minds to it. Wrong options in attack, not finding touch from a penalty, a dissent penalty from Sam (Alibert must know how bad he is, Sam, you don't need to tell him!), and quite a few forward passes that the officials mostly missed.

| Quote: To have Gaz back doing what he's doing and running the way he is, he's a good addition to our team, "Wigan coach Michael Maguire believes Gareth Hock will get better and better after he scored a hat-trick in their 48-6 home win over Wakefield.
"To have Gaz back doing what he's doing and running the way he is, he's a good addition to our team," said Maguire.
"He's getting his match fitness back, that's the big thing with Gaz.
"I know what he's capable of and the more I see of him I can understand why he was the player he was before he had that break.
"It's great to have him in the team and he's only going to improve.
"He's working hard to have the understanding of what we've developed here and he's fitting in really well.'"

I know that but we're Wigan and we do what we want.
We have been good to Widnes with dual reg players over the years, maybe give them Hughes and King on dual reg as a sweetener

| The game was terrible but we got plenty of positives out of it. I said earlier on the week I thought Hock looked miles better against Quins then he did against the Giants and he took it on another level tonight. I agree with others that Cross was good tonight on debut. He ran the ball well and worked overtime in defence. He looks as though he'll be a valuable squad member.

Cheeky bugger, your packs strong enough mate.
Seriously concentrate on Dom Crosby, he's going to be a very good player.
