| Obviously not in the coaches eyes but I'd be surprised and a bit disappointed not to see him play v Cas or Quins.

| Faz has been carrying a knock, as I understand it...
With 1,002 backrowers i don't see a problem with having him out the team & getting him right.
We dont want him carryIng niggles into the business end of the season

Exactly, get Hock fit, get Faz fit and then have a back row to chose from Hock, Hof, Faz, Tuson and H. Not a bad problem to have.

I agree. I thought apart from that early knock-on (and he wasn't the only one to do that!), Tuson had a pretty good game.

I agree. Farrell has obviously fallen out of favour and has been dropped on a couple of occasions this season. I really cant see how Tuson has been keeping him out of the side for all this time. Tuson has had some very poor games with some real defensive howlers, such as those 2 tries against Crusaders, but somehow has kept his place when Farrell has been dropped for far less.

He defended pretty well but I didn't notice him that much in attack. At least with Farrell you generally see him causing defences some problems, especially against teams with a big pack but perhaps not much mobility down the middle. Faz's footwork is better than any other forward and he can cause all sorts of problems when he gets the chance. His support play is also fantastic.
I haven't seen much from Tuson and I don't see why aggression in defence is of such massive importance that it overrules all the positive things Farrell does both in attack and through his defensive work rate. If Madge is simply keeping Faz fresh for the back end of the season then that's fine but I don't think Tuson's performances necessarily warrant him keeping his place. Hughes has performed well when given the chance so must be putting pressure on Tuson.

| Faz is all class but Tuson looked like a man on a mission to keep his place last night. He ran hard and tackled harder with his flying leap and leg wrap around tackle on JJB being a funny highlight.
He'll be tough to move on that form but the competition is all good.

| Tuson hits harder in the tackle. Maybe given MM's physical approach to the game, this explains his preference for Tuson?

He might hit harder but at least Faz knows how to run and time an angled run, rather than knocking on every time he receives a ball at speed.

I wouldn't say Tuson is that bad. I would, however, play Faz ahead of him.

Carries/Errors
Tuson - 63/8
Farrell - 134/4
Tackles/Penalties
Tuson - 197/4
Farrell - 423/8
No disrespect to Tuson, I just don't like when coaches have random agendas with players, and favour other ones despite performances proving otherwise.
