It was an innocuous looking incident. The ball was kicked by a HKR player and hit Walker in the face and he just went down on the ground. He was stretchered off and at half time the air ambulance landed on the pitch and took him off to hospital.
If ever a lad has been unlucky with bad injuries it's John Walker he has had more than his share.
I just hope everything is o.k for him and his family.

Heard he was in Preston Infirmary and OK. Air Ambulance used only because of lack of availability of the ones on wheels!
