I think both teams came out well to be honest.

Mathers was superb in the CC Final against Leeds, scoring early on and saving two certain tries. This went a long way to winning the cup.

Gleeson was an integral part of our championship winning season, topped it off scoring two superb tries in the Grand Final against our arch-rivals (and with it will be remembered by Stains fans as a former player who came back to haunt them big style), that's worth the transfer money alone. icon_mrgreen.gif

Really? Because as I understand it Wire paid £200,000 for Gleeson and you won nothing. How does that put you ahead? Looks to me like you're the same £100,000 down as Wigan but without a trophy to show for your outlay. Wigan ahead I think! icon_wink.gif
