There is going to be a lot of dissapointed faces when people get up and see this.

It should help that our two best performances last season were both under Wane. Lets hope he has learnt all Maguire knows and that he will do an even better job and hopefully he will be Wigan coach for years and years.

As much as I think Shaun Wane will make a fantastic coach and have no worries about our future with him in charge, im still absolutely gutted if this is true. Really thought he was the kind of person who would see out his contract then go pursue his career in the NRL.

This is not the time to stick the boot in so I won't. I think you need to recaliberate your view of the nrl against sl. It's not personal towards Wigan.

Your misunderstanding what im saying, what I said has got nothing to do with how much better then NRL is to SL. More so about what kind of person Maguire is.

You can't blame him for going really though, RL is huge in Aus and he is going to one of the biggest clubs in the game, the only bigger would be Brisbane over there really.

I thought he would see out his deal as well but this huge chance for him has become available.

Shaun Wane will hopefully make a fine coach, lets be honest, Maguire was not going to stay after his contract anyway, Wane is getting his chance a year early and he fully deserves it. He has worked his way up. I guess the question now is who will be assistant? Should we go for a highly rated assistant from Aus, or should we promote the likes of Radderz? He doesn't sound like he wants to coach, I think he enjoys his current role.

I suppose all the usual ex-player names will be branded about as well.... Lam, Farrell, Edwards....

What we musn't forget is that while Maguire has turned the team around and has brought fresh ideas etc... he has now passed these onto Wane and Maguire says himself that Wane and Bitcon are a massive part of what we do and they will still be around. Hopefully we won't notice he is gone.

Come on Maguire leave this country with your head held high as a champion with the double! Win the lot and make us remember you as the coach you started this Wigan dominance of the sport. Force us to make a flag with your name on when you have gone! Go out with a bang!

I personally think if this is true then an ideal opportunity can arise we have heard Lenagan mention an NRL link-up well Souths under Madge is the perfect solution i just hope he doesn't have thoughts of taking anyone with him ( Joel, Sam, Mossop, Farrell etc ) luckily i'd like to think Madge would be respectful enough not to want to weaken Wigan too much but i'd be all in favour of us loaning the King's, Davies, Russell's etc. Wonder wether he might take Gleeson with him
