Bit early to say for this team with so many new faces. As I wrote, Liam Carberry always impresses me, I think he should be in the Under 20s myself (he was till Mellor came back). I thought Dom Manfredi (if he was no.15 as per team sheet) was doing well after coming off the bench on the right wing. Looked pretty strong to me, although he did get put in touch a couple of times on the far side in the second half.

| A big win for Leeds, it isnt so often our underage teams lose so comprehensively. However if there were so many new players playing it is to be expected.

Well they would have had new players as well but it's where they are within the team that can be key.

It was number 17 (Joe Bullock) that was playing on the right wing in the second half. He ran well but he seems to stand a bit too close to the touchline even when not in possession. This definitely contributed to him being put into touch twice as the covering tackler had only to catch his ankle slightly to get his foot onto the touchline and thus out of play. He was virtually running on the white line as it was. If he had been stood (or had chosen to run) slightly more infield the tackles would have needed more effort to get him in touch and the attacks may have not been so easily snuffed out. That needs to be worked on but it is early days as you say.

Oh it was definitely 15 on my side so they must have swapped again.

| Manfredi was number 15 and came off the bench for Tom Halsall in the first half. He did well when he came on and certainly tightened up our right side defence. I think he's coming back from a bad injury because he missed all last season and seems to be getting eased back in.
Bullock was number 17, he came off the bench in the 2nd half to replace Manfredi when he tired.
