tonight,was roberts playing.joel played like a class strike centre got to keep him there.sam wasted at full back.goulding one of the most under rated player in the team.coley one of the best signing in the last few years.lima i am gutted to call him a wigan player ,what he did tonight and in other games is not acceptable.finch badly out of focus but still time hopefully.micky mac will be world class well on the way now.dont panic we will be right there in october,

Roberts was hardly in the game.

Joel was quality once he settled into the game.

I now agree that he is wasted at FB unless against poor opposition.

Goulding was in my top 3.... his work was brilliant (Roberts take note)

Coley has been a monster!

Lima has a great work ethic, people expect him to be like Feka, he isn't and never will be. His tackle was around the legs, nothing up with it.

Finch was poor and should be dropped untill he gets up to speed.

McIlorum was very good second half but still no piggy.

How the hell is Finch expected to get upto speed if you drop him??
Lima needs a spell in the u20s assuming he doesn't get another ban that is, he's becoming a liability.

Agree with most of the above the one about Finch, will he get up to speed playing in the reserves?? He needs high intensity game time, catch 22.

A slight over reaction about Lima, work rate is great & I don't mind the fact that he has a little bite in him.

critisism of Finch worries me.
i see a quality player who is:
rusty - fixed with game time (in the FIRST team)
not getting correct angles run off him - that will come as FIRST teams players play with him week in, week out

Mcllorum is not good enough to be greedy, near the try line seems to think he's a Cunningham. Roberts bottle has gone all together but we desperately need Pat back ASAP.

here's mine and i'll say it now for the tenth time from the last couple of weeks. stick with amos at FB for now and get sam back at 6. we may as well have lockers at 6 if he is going to keep playing sam at FB.

but at the end of the day, teams are now aware no matter who we play at FB we struggle under the bombs etc and this is exactly why we must make the change now and stick with one player - amos or when fit and returned to action, pat - at FB.

Learn to defuse the high bomb would be the biggest thing we need to work on.

The stick Roberts is getting is bizarre. He was looking for work last night and came in for the ball on multiple occasions. Finch needs to get some game time and then the combinations with the runners will start to work. Some easier games coming up will allow him to bed into the side.

Roberts missed at least 4 tackles yesterday all through lack of commitment. As a previous poster stated, his bottle has gone.

There was one occasion when the Leeds markers were side by side and MM passed. Piggy would've run into them and won a penalty. MM is still young though and will get better. Finch has only had two games, give him half a dozen before making any sort of judgement. Tommy still needs to work on his kicking game (although a lot of our last tackle desicions were poor last night). Joel looks to be a revelation in the centres, especially if we're losing Gleeson: just what we need to fill the void.

All in all, a good comeback but we've been off the boil for a few games now and need to get back to winning ways quickly.
