| Finally plucked up courage to watch the Warrington game on tv and Wigan did not play that badly. I think we did enough to beat every other super league team and that performance would have been good enough to beat Leeds who we play next week. Sure there are areas we need to improve on, but don't lose faith. Losing against a very good Warrington team does not make us a bad side. Turn out to support the boys next week and show that the 18th man is fully behind the team.

Far too many people getting carried away at the moment. It was a poor performance all round, but there's plenty of time to rectify it, especially when we get players like Pat and Fielden back and Finch is more settled in the role.

OMG i'm agreeing with Wigan/Leeds Andy. For goodness sake calm down!!!!! The OP is totally correct. Just remember how leeds were after the WCC last year, we are nowhere near that level and have only lost one game for goodness sake. Thats the nature of sport. Would you rather have their squad or ours for the season ahead? Come September/October we will see if the Wolfs (sic) have as much to crow about when they bottle it, again.

In the end everyone realises cutting your nose off to spite your face isn't worth it.
But yes, you really wouldn't want some people on here to have to mind your back with the knee jerking going on.

| Okay, so Warrington beat us at the DW Stadium and they did last season, and all the Wire fans keep bringing it up... We beat them at HJ Stadium last season, and will again this season... they'll be silenced in 6 months when we destroy them at their own stadium with a team as strong as a force 50 hurricane!
I'm not worried, not at all, it's a long season, and there's a long way to go.
We got Deacs, Stu, Pat out through injury. We got Joel & Hock out through Suspension. We got Finch who played his first ever game for us on Friday and has alot to learn about the Wigan Way. And let's be fair to Finch, based on what the other Storm Guys have said, he wont ever have heard a noise like Friday night before, and that's gotta be a knee shaker for anyone.
We'll get through, and come October those who've been panicing will be sitting with the rest of us, grinning from ear to ear as we proudly display that we've taken all the silverware!

| The only thing that was proved on Friday was that when we have near enough full team back Warrington will have the quality to challenge us to finish top imo. I dont think anybody else in the league will be good enough.

Indeed, we crossed the line as many times as they did. Wire were very lucky those tries were turned over cos they were by no means clear cut decisions (read: Halibert got it bloody wrong! ) . They did play better than us overall though if for no other reason than they managed to score tries that weren't in any doubt, but ultimately I think the score line was actually very flattering to them.

| I think with a few less dropped balls at vital times and one less silly pass, we would have beaten Warrington by 6-10 points. We just werent at the races this weekend like last year vs Bradford away and Harlequins at home, these things happen. Im not worried about losing our title at all. The best thing to come out of this defeat is how good Warrington think they are and how disappointed they will be come the end of the season, again

| At times I felt like I was watching the side from 2007. We had moments like this last year though its just that we never let it happen against a team that could punish us like wire can.

| Worth pointing out we've played six games and three of them have been against sides in the current top 4. We've played none of the current bottom four. Get past Leeds with a win and our fixture list following that sees us play (current positions) 12th, 11th, 4th (Saints Derby), 13th, 14th, 7th, 11th, 12th.

| We lost at home to Wire last season.
There's no reason to panic. We underperformed, we got very little from the officials and Wire played very well and made few errors and still the game was fairly close until near the end.
We have a number of players who are either new and are not yet playing that well and many players out injured or coming back from injuries (I include Amos in that as I am not convinced he is fully fit). We have quality of the likes of Pat and Hock to come into the side in the second half of the season.
There is absolutely no reason to panic. I still think we will retain the SL title.
