Agree with Bilko about Ganson.
He'd already had players and their captains out three times for a talking to and should have sent Joel & Yeaman to the bin.
That ill feeling wasn't going to go away and it took 20 secs to bring another brawl and sending off.
Agar mentioned that Wigan were lucky only to have one sent off as Sam ran in throwing punches. Obviously he didn't mention his own players who were punching away like crazy.
Wigan really stepped up after Joels sending off, pity they could have played the previous 65 mins like they did the last 15.

only champion boxers have sore kidneys - Wigan are going to get muscled up a lot this year.
Poorly skilled coaches under pressure from their poorly skilled boards will ensure that the only real tactic left to try and beat wigan is to be dirty.
Big test for Madge. Big test for the older players to keep the players calm on the field.

He was just standing over it in case it stayed in play or a Wigan player blitzed onto it and it took an unexpected bounce into his chest and ricocheted over the line before he could react. Not bad play from him to be honest because players who are too lax in that situation often give away tries. Great report though as always  |
