Such a shame and I feel for the lad. Sadly I think he may find it hard to return from this, certainly at Wigan.

Looks like the end of his Wigan career. I certainly would not be inclined to offer him a new contract, I am glad though that we seem to be doing right by him and trying to get him sorted while he is in our care so he can hopefully have a rugby career elsewhere.

| It is a shame. I think he'd have been ahead of Prescott if not for all his injuries.
Grand lad, with an excellent attitude on and off the pitch.

Poor lad, must be gutting. I'm guessing they will all have insurance - I'm also guessing this might cover loss of earnings to some degree if his playing days are over?
Of course, they also have medical insurance and facilities and the lad's only 23 - if a 'fix' can be found within a year or two and he finds his Wigan chance has passed, he can always forge himself a career elsewhere.

| He impressed me when he first came through, always ran with great energy.
Can't see him playing for Wigan again now though.

| Damned shame, hope they find someone who knows what they are doing to fix him.
I know he wouldn't wish injury on another player but suppose Morley is relieved he wont come up against Eamon in the forseeable future!

I remember that incident and the great joy Wigan fans took in telling Warrington fans their club had bought an injury-prone, past-it crock in Morley and that the future lay in O'Carroll.
Those damn "rugby-gods" hey.

Very sad news - hope the right people are found to help sort it out. I fear the same though that we won't see him for Wigan again

Yeah so a select few of our fans (i've never even heard any such thing tbh and judging by the way he was injured it was likely said in jest because I dont see how an eye socket fracture could be construed as being passed it?) may have said that but do you really think thats the correct thing to be posting when this lad's career is hanging in the balance? Save it for your own board and stop taking joy in our players injury. I could understand if he was an idiot like Long or did the silly things that Cunningham did in the past and Graham does now but to act like this over a player who has done relatively little and didnt even injure morley on purpose is pretty uncalled for.
Only a very small number of our fans took joy in McGuire when he injured himself cheating in that playoff game and by posting items like that you put yourself in their minority and frankly, rather idiotic, subgroup.
Oh and for your information the "rugby gods" was Phil Clarke and has nothing to do with Wigan Warriors RLFC thanks very much. Thats like us attributing everything Cullen says on Boots n All to Warrington Wolves.
On a positive note I hope they find someone who can help him and I'm glad to see theyre striving to do so. That injury could cause him pain for life if not sorted and whether he wears a Wigan shirt again or not I'm glad Wigan are fulfilling their duty in making sure that if he does leave us he leaves us with as clean a bill of health as is possible.
