The game was on the screens in the concourse area so I imagine it was recorded, don't know if highlights will appear somewhere though.

Like you ask, why is the ball stripping over the line no longer a penalty try?
Also just prior to Chris Tuson scoring Atkins nearly took his head off with a real forearm smash. Didn't stop Chris scoring but what is the ruling that revented Phil Bentham from awarding a penalty following the conversion?
If Atkins had put a proper tackle he may possibly have stopped the try.

True good point. I did see an 8 point try in an NRL match last year. It was try, conversion as normal, then a penalty shot bang in front. I shall add that though to my report.

THE EIGHT POINT TRY
Dear Mr Cummings, Is the possibility of an "eight point try" still in existence? i.e. I understood that, when an attacking player is 'fouled whilst in the process of scoring a try', the referee has the option to award a second kick at goal from in front of the posts after the conversion attempt.There was a recent game at Wigan I think when Thomas Leuluai clearly tried to scythe somebody down using his legs as the attacking player was touching down.

STUART REPLIES: Tim, The "eight point try" is still in existence although rarely called upon. I only ever awarded one in my whole refereeing career, however the Thomas Leuluai incident was certainly one where a penalty could have been awarded after the conversion had been taken. Section 13, Law 9 covers this: "If a player fouls an opponent who is touching down for a try a penalty kick at goal shall be taken from in front of the goal posts after the attempt to convert the try".

That Stuart Cummings reply probably expains it.
Chris Tuson was not touching down for a try, he had 5-8 mtrs to go to the try line.
That's why I put that if Atkins had gone in with a proper tackle he may have prevented the try

It was a bloody big 5-8metres from where I was stood lol!
