I am half way through it.

Quite funny in parts.

Interesting take on why he got released by Wigan due to repeated "bad boy" behaviour including hitting a girl whilst pi$$ed as a fart.

Also claims Wigan agreed to pay him £2000/month to sign for them when he took over from B Goulding as he wanted BGs old salary of £100K/annum. He got the first £2k and then Ellery Hanley pursuaded the Saints board to up his contract so he kept the money and took his mates to Ayia Napa on Wigan!

His parents described him as a little $hit!

I enjoyed the book personally.. the term 'as daft as a brush' is never truer.

Except that he wasn't as good, especially on the international scene, nor as likeable or charismatic. I do agree, however, that he will crash and burn - the only difference there is that no-one will care.

I read it whilst on the Aussie tour last year and really enjoyed it.

One thing I couldn't understand about Longs mentality is even though he fully understands that it was his own fault due to his off the field d1ckhead ways was the reason why Wigan let him go, he still held a real grudge against Wigan. Although he does admit he still holds a small candle for his hometown team.

That doesn't explain for the grudge he held, the only person that he can attach blame to is himself. Maybe his dumbass brain can't calculate that fact.

I got it quite some time ago (mid-summer 2010) for £5 hard back from the discount book shop in the Fishergate centre in Preston (near the train station). I thought it was a bargain really for that amount considering he had only released it a few months before!

Probably because he moved to Saints? Either way, he didn't do too bad out of it.
