| What is it with these guys? Why are they not thoroughly biased towards England in their commentary? They seem to think everything that Australia do is pure class apart from the time when Robinson ghosted past their defence to score a brilliant try leaving Slater for dead. They should have been drooling over a superb piece of attacking brilliance from an England player but no they say it was due to poor Australian defence! Twits the pair of them. It was bad enough having to endure the refereeing decisions but then not to get the biaised in England's favour commentary from Eddie and Stevo just made the whole thing unbearable to watch.
I actually thought England should be quite proud of the way they played. Had the ref not been conned so much and the decisions gone more Englands way then the result and aftermatch discussions could have been very different.

| My point is that they are usually biased during the season so why be biased towards the Australians in the international? You would think patriatism would hold sway in these games.

| I thought the coverage from Sky was poor and biased towards England. Phil Clarke wetting his knickers when Australia made their first error an example. The whole coverage has been stale for about 5 years and I still say its become so since they started packing the commentary with up to 4 or 5 bodies. I struggle to enjoy the output these days. It just needs freshening up big style. Not just in the commentary box but I suggest in the production side of it as well - it's very tired!

| It's symptomatic of the massive inferiority complex we as a country have towards anything and everything Australian.

| Within a few minutes, they'd got 2 names wrong and gut a rule wrong (I forget which). They're joke, plain and simple. Stevo is so well past it that it's embarrassing. Eddie just never had a clue to start with.

How Stevo initially got Cudjoe and Goulding mixed up when Cudjoe messed up for the first try I will never know. They dont exactly look alike and were playing in 2 different positions.

could we not take a leaf of out crickets book. like when the ashes was on this year they had shane warne commentating and i think it adds a debatable point when patrioticness (if thats even a word) takes over?

| Seconded PJ. I mean, they have us beat at wine and Rugby League.... When I think of popular music, cinema, literature, art, design, I have to say I don't feel Britain is inferior.
I don't watch games on Sky except for internationals, so I am not used to or fed up with the presenters. However I thought Carney was the voice of reason today. Some of the calls from the other presenters were biased or ill-informed, but he was generally on the mark, and pretty realistic.

I agree - I've never heard them be so critical of a referee as they were today, for example, yet the decisions were no worse than we see every week in SL.

Agree. In RL terms there's an inferiority complex and in certain other sports too possibly, and their wine is better (though to be fair there's some decent English wine these days) but if anyone has any doubt about which is the superior country I would ask the question I always ask of Aussies waxing lyrical about how great their country is and how rubbish Britain is - if that's true why are there so many of you over here?
