I hope what I heard is wrong but there's a rumour going around that there maybe no ale on sale in the ground on saturday due to trouble last year. Anyone know where to find out if this is true or not?

They stopped you taking your ale to your seat a couple of years ago. Maybe it's that you're thinking of.

Neither the RFL,MUFC plc or Engage would miss the chance to make megga bucks,the bars will be open (tho personally I wish they were closed).

Tickets do say 'No alcohol to be consumed within the stadium'.

But do they mean none that they you bring in yourself, or within the seated areas? As someone said, I wouldn't have thought they would pass up the chance for the cash.

Lets face it,,,,I know i can do without a can of warm beer while in the stadium for about a hour and a half....

If you look a little closer at the ticket, it actually has 'bowl' in a different font at the side as the original thinking was that there would be an overall ban, whereas it's just a ban on taking ale to your seats ie 'in the stadium bowl'.

Im sure myself and quite a few others will have had more than enough before we get in the ground

Old Trafford being a football staduim has different rules to RL grounds... they sell alcohol but you cannot drink in the view of the pitch (ie cant take it to your seats..)
