| Geoff, any further details?
That was a very good win, when you consider the we had some of the U18's playing in the U20's yesterday and Leeds U20's didn't make the play offs, so would have been able to select a stronger U20's team.
Not been a bad weekend at all has it?

What does that have to do with him saying that it was a good win becauserelative[/i to the first team having been so successful during the same period, not that they are simply weak.
Back directly on topic, rather than having to try and fend off yet another Wire: Good result especially for the lads backing up from the U20's

Which players "backed up" then?
Do you understand the rules in relating to Academy rugby?

I didn't mean to write that, I meant to say that a first choice U18 isn't possible when a number of your U18's play in the U20's.
I see you continue your track record of just trying to have digs, do you understand the rules relating to being a likeable human being?
Would you ever like to have a discussion in a thread rather than your normal 'throw away' one line comments?

I've been saying that Leeds have been poor at U20 level, and have been for about three years. Their U18's this season have been quite good and their loose forward Stevie Ward has been the best player I have seen at that level this season. They beat us at Orrell a few weeks back.
The fact that Leeds qualified for the top group at U18 level, alongside Saints, Wigan , Widnes and HKR would indicate that they are a decent side. Warrington, you will notice didn't make the higher group.

You didn't say that when Warrington ran 60+ on them at u18 level.
However as you note that was a false-dawn for Warrington at that age group, this is off-set with about 7 or so u18's being regulars in the table-topping u20's side (in fact one u18 played first grade this week but we wouldn't want to mention that). Warrington have tended to (with the exception of the 94 - 6 drubbing of Leeds) not play experienced first grade players in the u20's at all instead looking to promote players from below. It looks to be a policy that paid off considering how the u20's have gone.
Anotyher point of interest is that its often quoted about the dual-registered players Wigan have had that weren't available for the u20's yet when it came to which players had played sufficient dual-registration games to qualify to play in the play-offs all the players in the Championship that qualified were from Warrington.

On the dual registration part, it didn't do Leigh much good did it?

This was the u18's game I was referring to
I guess "junior sides" refers to both u18's and u20's.
I guess the dual-registered players didn't help Leigh too much - didn't Wigan send most of their's to Widnes? Did them even less good.

In the grading phase you beat them at home by two points.
Dual registration, only Ben Davies played a decent number of games for Widnes (13 I believe) and wasn't allowed to play in the play offs for Widnes because he had not played the required 15 games.
Most strange as one of the Wire loanees was allowed to play for Leigh despite playing a similar amount of games (Maybe Davies should have claimed to be injured )
