| Neither of the joint leaders scored in rlthe Leeds voterl so we have a five horse race with all to play for yet.
Pat Richards leads even though he's on equal points with Joel Tomkins because you've voted him 1st place more times than Joel.
But Sean O'Loughlin, Stuart Fielden and Sam Tomkins could win it yet.
Suppose I best start thinking of some kind of reward.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| I like the flag idea for the winning player.
I also like that the system I dreamt up for this which rewards consistency. Sean O'Loughlin has never won a vote yet for any match this year but even though Pat has won 6 of them Locky is still in the race to win it outright.

What a fascinating statistic. Does this mean Sean is still underappreciated by Wigan fans or is he never quite the best player on the park? I suspect he still isn't everyone's cup of tea for some reason, I can't believe he hasn't deserved a single MoM this season, but I'd be interested to hear what other people think.

| I suspect it is more about "eye-catching"; Lockers does a lot of work which is not spectacular but is damned effective. The likes of Richards, Tomkins (sam) etc will always get more votes because they are more visible - sad but true (and that is not to belittle the likes of Richards who has been superb all season).
The tv mom is always the same - it is often the players who do one spectacular finish or run who win it rather than those who lay the platform and do the hard work- I suppose even amongst fans at the game it is the same although probably more balanced by some fans who can see past the obvious.

Thats it. Mick Cassidy was a similar asset to our side. Never really a stand out in attack but his defensive contribution was vital. Lockers is exactly the same.
Putting it another way - Lockers has been voted in the "top 5" for 16 of the 27 games this season. Joel 15 times, Pat 12, Fielden 13, Sam 12. So he's most consistently catching the eye - just not being voted top man. I suspect if we'd have had an average Brian Noble type year with poor attack he'd have been voted man of the match quite a few times.

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

| MOM awards are very arbitrary. An 80 minute prop who makes 100 metres and 40 tackles won't win it if a winger gets two tries or if a half makes a 40-20.
The regular, steady players seldom get a look in over the flair players who might make a couple of breaks or a winning drop goal.

I don't think Mick Cassidy got quite as many assists as Lockers has from what I remember. Always grateful to him for decking Morley when he played for Leeds though

Fair play to Sky though, Lockers won it on Friday.
