The Warriors have chosen five senior players, including former captain Sean O'Loughlin, in their leadership team from which the captains will be chose'"
Do you still have this shared captaincy, and if so, do you think it has benefited the team?

| We still have it yes.
Not sure on how it has benefited the team really, except we have a lot more on-field leaders than we used to.

| It has worked a treat for me. I think it has made a couple of players really step and up and take more on their shoulders then they had previously. I think the main 2 that have stood out for me as players that have really stepped up a couple of gears in everything they do are Andy Coley and Tommy Leuluai. They have both had fine seasons and just look like they thrive on that added responsibility.
I also think the shared captaincy has taken abit of pressure off Lockers shoulders and thats shown in his preformences. He's always been a fine player but this season he just looks like the shackles are off. Some players could have spat the dummy when they got the sole captaincy taken off them but thats just not Lockers and if anything he's kicked on a gear.
Super stuff.

| I agree with NK, I feel coley in particular has really stepped up this year, and his interview after the hull game (and his performance in the game) summed his attitude up for me. Also I like the way the captaincy was used as a reward to Joel tomkins when he was made captain against catalans (think it was that game?). Fully deserved for his efforts this season.

It's actually a six man team now. Joel Tomkins was added to the leadership team a couple of weeks ago. It's difficult to say if it's been a benefit or not because pretty much everything has improved from last season. It would be hard to point at just one thing that has been the catalyst for wholesale improvement

| I agree with Nick
And would just add that at times over the last few years the team has been crying out for added leadership on the field (no disrespect to Lockers) and I think the only time we came close to it was with Trent. Now we seem to have a team of leaders.
Top marks Madge

| I think Lockers has really benefitted from having the burden of the captaincy taken off him.
He is not a natural leader, despite what many on here would have you believe. Imo this has been his best season yet, and that is no coincidence.

| I wager that several other SL clubs have multiple captaincies next season.
Leading the way again, like the good ole days

Nothing to do with the new coaching regime, the fact that the players around him are finally playing to a better level, and that he's generally part of a winning team?
Nah, lets ignore that. It's all about the captaincy.
