Great viewing on Sky Sports 1 isn't it?

Was thinking exactly the same thing.

Everyone for the cap keeps going on about how the standard of play has improved, there are 4 or 5 good teams in SL, and the rest are absolute dross imo.

I fell asleep (although I have been up since 4 am) and my wife has just woke me up but this is a great game in super duper league.

Both teams and coaches are devoid of ideas
i do hope Hull FC can maintain 4th place would love to play them first game of the play-offs

Phew. Thought it was just us. Watching the NRL game on Sky 433 now.
Far more interesting.

Just twittering how flattered Hull should be to be top 4. They are way behind us, Wire, Saints and even Leeds who are 5th. Can't believe they have the leagues best home record.

If they play against us like they have tonight then a double over FC is on the horizon. Here's hoping I've not jinxed us.

The Sky glorification of John Kear
- what has he got on them? He coaches his team the most mind numbing rugby league, that watched on a regular basis would drive people to even consider yawnion as a more exciting option and has the temerity to accuse us of being like watching paint dry!
- perhaps I have missed something here, but is there a festering issue left over from the time he was employed by us? Ah, but its John Kear and he's great isnt he?

The Sky 'Wigan have no chance' subliminal rumour
- how many times do we have to listen to Eddie & Stevo on Boots or the live match coming out with "it wont be a surprise if both these teams are at Old Trafford in the Grand Final" I heard this three times during the Leeds v Saints game, I have also heard it about Warrington several times and of course, Hull in tonights game from media wannabe Phil Clarke.
The best I have heard about Wigan from the two muppets was on last weeks Boots programme when it was acknowledged that Wigan are favourites for the League Leaders Shield - nothing else mind you - come the end of the season. Its like they are looking so good, we have to invent a story here..
- on the Boots programme a couple of weeks ago we had an investigation into the the 'mounting pressure' Wigan were under in holding on to top spot - a position we have held since week 2.

I have to say that Cullen, Macrae, Wells, O'Connor and McDermott as Sky pundits have always told it as it really is about us. Likewise Robbie Paul and Harris on SL Show under constant denial pressure from old Harry. Such a wide selection - surerly they cant all be wrong??

I just never envisaged that when it was our turn to be top again that we would have all this unabated envy directed against us. There is never a mention about the fantastic attacking style we have and the players therein, we just get stats about how long we 'lie on' in the tackle....like nobody else does it of course!
In my view Maguire does well to keep away from the Sky set up and keep a low profile. Stuff em, let em say what they like and lets just do the business.

But brace yourselves, over the next few weeks you are going to hear an awful lot about our potential failings as the big games roll in.

I wouldn't take that personally if I were you. They are only saying it because Leeds and Saints have played each other at three consecutive Grand Finals and Saints have been in a Grand Final for four consecutive years. It makes the odds in favour of one or both of us appearing there higher in the eyes of anyone who hasn't been watching Saints play on a regular basis this season.

Appreciate that, Saintsfan - indeed both yourselves or Leeds could get there, I am not denying that, (anybody who writes those two teams off is a nutter), but its just this lack of recognition thing about Wigan this season that narks me. After all when all is said and done we have leaped forward this season from a fringe team to a contender with Saints and Leeds.

Its like they have to invent or create this myth and uncertainty - possibly in an effort to boost interest for the ratings.
