I've lost even more respect for Newton after watching that.

Claiming again that he knows who in the sport is taking HGH, but refusing to give names or even say how many and/or whether any "high profile" players are using.

FFS - Either get down to the RFL and hand over EVERY bit of information that you think that you have or STFU and stop using it as a way to promote your little book.

I totally agree. I am getting sick of reading and listening to him talk about this, which as you say is just to promote his book. I would hate for anyone to actually buy it and let him profit from being a drug cheat.

Terry Newton is and always will be a Wigan legend imo.

Regardless of how his career ended i can't but look back fondly over his time at Wigan. I’d argue that Newton was the biggest loss off all the players like Lam, Faz and even Radders as he was smack bang in the middle of his prime and was proving to be a world class hooker and fierce competitor.

Whilst other players like KFC were having hot smoke blown up their ar$e$ by Eddie and Stevo Newton was easily outplaying him for a good few seasons but without any of the hype and not receiving the club GB money either!

I’d take a 25 year old Newton over a 25year old KFC any day.

I'll be buying his book the day it comes out.

If he can't grow a pair big enough to name the players that he CLAIMS are still cheating, then he should disappear from public view and not be given even 1 second of air-time.

Taking a growth hormone and trying to return quickly from a bad injury is in no way shape or form as bad or as stupid as what Hock did imo.

Newton shouldn't be used in the same breath as true legends like Boston, Edwards, Hanley, Sullivan.

In terms of relevance to RL, I disagree. I think performance enhancing drugs should be treated more severely than recreational, by the sporting authorities.

The guy was always second best to KC , differing styles of play but Newton always let himself down with his thuggery. As for being a proven world class hooker I'm afraid your deluded.

I've seen some real Wigan legends play and he definetly isnt one of them.

He made a mistake.

It shouldn't wipe out all the positive things about his career - he was a great player for Wigan and he evidently loved the club. He was half the player at Bradford than he was at Wigan and I believe a lot of that boiled down to him not having the same passion for the cause.

However, saying that HGH use is rife and then not naming names is certainly not an admirable move.

Why not?

Was his passion for Wigan not equal 2 the above mentioned? Very few players match Newton in this area and certainly players like Hanley don't.

He's certainly up there with the best #9's in the clubs history.
