As good a job he's done with Hull KR they haven't really done much this year have they? I don't see him as the right person for Saints if I'm honest.

Although Saints have got a couple good young players coming through I don't think some of them are quite good enough compared what they've produced in recent times. I don't know how they're going to replace the quality such as Cunningham, Wellens etc... I think whoever comes in is going to be in the same boat as Potter unless they can bring in some quality to. The talent around at other clubs isn't that massive though compared to what it used to be. The likes of Soliola whose been a big flop so far have been terrible signings for a club like St Helens, resigning Fozzard, what the hell was that all about? The next 2 or 3 years are going to be interesting to say the least. It's a good job they have Eastmond, Roby and Graham as IMO they are the only real stars of their team now but will be difficult to replace the other oldies.

I'm not sure if Morgan is the right person either, but whoever comes in IMO will have to be looking at being in for the long term, and look to build a new team around the good young players they already have. Justin Morgan has built a great team at Hull Kr and has done a great job, but I feel he has now taken them as far as he can, and they need someone at the club with new ideas etc.

Also Hull KR seem to have a bit of money trouble and I think Saints would be more than happy to take him off their hands.

Justin Morgan seems like an okay fella, but it would seem an odd appointment in light of the Saints v Rovers MM match.

He supervises an astonishing collapse against the Saints, and then the Saints sign him up!!!

Unless he's already working for them covertly.

i'm sure there looking at bigger fish, craig bellemy could be interested in getting away from the e happening in melbourne.

I would have thought they'd look at the recent success of Wigan and Huddersfield and look overseas - maybe for another coaching talent that's not been given a head coach chance yet.

David Ferleigh put his name into the wigan hat..i'm sure he would be a good pick for the saints fans.

So Potter's leaving Saints with nowhere to go and no club in mind!

Morgan might have done ok up to this season but HKR are dreadful this time around.

Ignore some of the nutters over on the Saints board - Potter is doing an excellent job in the circumstances and I for one am gutted he's off.

I certainly don't think that Justin Morgan would be an improvement on him.
