Not sure I agree with this, I was hoping he would get a decent run in the Wigan first team, ok he didn't shine on Friday, but he was left exposed for most of the game by bailey and couldn't get a decent ball, that said, Widnes is better than the reserves.

For me this is yet another indication that he hasn't a future at Wigan.

If Gouldings fit then he deserves to play. He has been playing very well.

Ainscough is better at Widnes than in the reserves. Theres plenty of time for Ainscough to prove his doubters wrong.

Interesting that it says Davis has now gone on dual reg as well. It certainly benefits us having our players on dual reg contracts as we can easily bring them back if we get injuries. He probably would have played in the CC game at Sheff if he wasn’t on a permanent loan deal.

Farrell has proven how useful and easy it is to bring a player back and I’d fully expect him to be returning to Widnes when we the likes of Hansen and Coley return from injury.

Good move for Wigan and Widnes.

This tells me Goulding is fit for this weekend then if we are letting Ainy go back to Widnes.

Won't we need him next week? We must be very confident of getting injured players back. You've got to feel sorry for him though, all that disruption, then having Bailey as his centre, then sent out again. He'll come good yet, but I'm fairly sure it'll be somewhere else.

How many weeks has been out now? If my dates are correct he was injured against Wakey on Easter Monday which will be four weeks ago this coming Monday?

Seeing that he was scheduled to miss around 7 weeks he could be returning for Hudds away or the week after?

On dual reg, instead of loan, we can get him back at short notice if we need him, as we did with Farrell. To get him back from Cas, we had to cancel the loan.

I thought it was 8 weeks? I make that he should be coming back roundabout the CC quarter final.

Ahh ok, so if anything I guess he's closer to the first team. Still I'm suprised we didn't wait a couple of weeks, we might still be struggling for bodies this week and then next week if he plays for Widnes we'd be helping the opposition and he'll get cup tied to a knocked out team.

I guess a lot of it will depend on who we get in the Quarters should we progress against Widnes.

Let’s hope he’s back for the Celtic game which would be 7 weeks!
