Perry is currently in discussions with English Super League's end club St Helens for the 2011 season. However talks have stalled following Perry's insistence that Paul Cullen will be head coach and assurances over access to the Crispy Cod following a move to the new stadium. After a visit to St Helens to sign the contract Perry was greeted at Thatto Heath international airport by St Helens dignitaries including Johnny Wellies and given a gift of a pimmies pie barm and an egg custard. After visiting St Helens new stadium (The Paul Forber Stadium) he refused to sign the contract on the basis of a lie that 'sandy bay' on Carr Mill Dam wasn't a fully bonefide surf resort.
