| Sheffield fan in peace here......
For all those of you travelling over to the steel city on Saturday, a few bits of info.
Bramall Lane has an automated ticketing system so those already with tickets should just be able to scan these at the turnstile for entry. For those who dont, youll need to go to the ticket office before the game to get one before going to the turnstiles. Ticket Office is open from 9am. Fourteen of her majestys finest pounds it will cost you. Id strongly suggest arriving pretty early if you have to get a ticket. Ground opens at 1pm as the Leeds - Hull match is on the big screen in the ground before our game.
If you want to watch the game on a pub beforehand (recommended as the lager is £3.10 a go in Bramall Lane), the following are recommeded.
The Sheffield Tap in the train station (Platform 1) is a must - 189 different Bottled Beers available.
The Howard across the main road from the station is worth a visit, just go across the pelican outside and its straight ahead.
The Royal Standard on St Mary's Gate has a pool table, dartboard and Sky TV.
The Sportsman is just across from the road from the BP garage outside the ground and also has Sky.
There is also The Railway on Bramall Lane itself at the far end of the ground.
The Sheaf House a little further down Bramall Lane has a car park, pool, snooker and big-screen Sky.
For those arriving by car, parking around BL is not great. Theres a car park at the ground on the Cherry Street side, its £3 a go and not very big so will probably fill up early. There are numerous city centre car parks that are best. Street parking around the ground is iffy, there are loads of permit schemes in place. Also dont park in the Decathlon or Waitrose, youll get clamped.
Enjoy the game and please bring you weakest possible team to make it a slightly competetive match.

| All our games except one now are at Bramall Lane, that one is due to pitch repairs. In the Jan/Feb heavy snow the pitch was damaged and needs to be relaid in the summer so we have been excused for one game.
United approached us about it and this looks to be a mid to long term arrangement. Were not looking at a 2012 franchise but 2015 is possible for us to return to the promised land.

| To answer the ther point, we wanted to play this game at BL, Don Valley was a possible but would have been Friday night. (Rotherham United have a game on Saturday at DVS).
The main problem was that it's Wednesday v United on Sunday and there no way the local plod would have allowed the clash. (We once got moved to Midday due to Leeds United playing at Barnsley!). So Saturday at BL was the best we could hope for.
No more playing second fiddle to antiques fairs!

I think I will be going up to Huddersfield then dropping down, thats what been recommended on one of the route planners.
I did the snake route once & it took ages, behind a lorry
Anyone have any better ideas

| If your coming from the M1, use the A61 Southbound towards Sheffield Centre (J36).
If your coming from the A628 (Woodhead), use the A616 then A629 to join the A61 and follow above.
Between here and Manchester theres nothing in it really using either way, just dont use the A57 (Snake Pass), get stuck behind an HGV and forget it for an hour.
