Can anybody tell me if the car park behind B&Q is still free to park on, car park 4 i think it is and what time would I have to get there to find a parking space, I drove round for ages at the Hull match trying to find a free parking spec because i only taken enough money for a pie and a pint

it's still free but you'd have to get there about 7 i reckon to get a spot, it's always rammed by the time i get there at half past

there is loads of places to park near by within 5 minutes walk of the stadium. just a matter of having a look around

Even when car park 4 looks rammed you can usually find somewhere on there to park, thanks to the atrocious parking skills displayed by most who go on there!

thanks for the info, i think i will try and get there before 7 i think, i used to park on the small car parks inbetween the arena and asda but i went to park there at the last match and they said it was reserved for blue badge holders and will be for the foreseeable future.

I always park in the car park on Pennyhurst Street, across the road from Corkills. Only a 5-10 minute walk down the canal from there.

Some users of car park 4 have turned this into something of an art form and should be congratulated for their skills - parking at precisely 23 degrees from the perpindicular to the neigbouring cars, whilst leaving a gap at either side precisely 1.7 inches too small for another car to get in and also blocking any transportation vehicle wider than a bicycle from getting past isn't easy you know.

Something like that, but 100 times worse - my personal theory is its all the DW stadium stewards deliberately parking up badly to make people use the pay car parks.

Yeah the last couple of games seems like everyone has twigged that its the free carpark and are just parking anywhere to get on. You end up with rows going on angles until they block the exit because no cars can get past. lol

i must admit i usually catch the train in when i can cause i like to have a couple of pints but whenever i have driven and when i've attempted to try and find a space on car park 4 i've struggled to find my way out again due to there being no order on there

I find that if you stay till the end of the match, by the time you get back to car park 4 there is plenty of space to get out.

One of the reasons the car park behind B & Q may be more popular going forward is that there has been quite a few cars vandalised in the area during recent home matches. The street behind the Fire Station had at least 10 cars with wing mirrors hanging off & windows smashed after the Hull game. My car had its wing mirror done and i will now be parking on the free car park behind B & Q.
