| Sean O'loughlin was outstanding last night and it is about time he started getting credit for it. People have always praised his defence, but he is just as good in attack. He is a creative, ball playing loose forward who had a hand in at least three of our tries last night. He was my MOTM. He is the best player we have in the team at the moment IMO and should be a candidate for Man Of Steel. Opposition supporters and some of our own have him down as just a workhorse, but this is not the case at all. He is the most creative loose forward in Super League. When it comes to England I would have him at loose forward and Sinfield at hooker. There is a reason the Aussies were after the lad at a young age and there is a reason why the GB selectors keep picking the lad. He is a class act and has been IMO a class act for a long time now and it is about time fans/pundits/journalists/ started acknowledging this.
Good stuff Sean

| I've been told many times by various opposition fans that O'Loughlin isn't a creative loose forward.
Always tickles me that one!
He's an exceptional player and was our mom by a distance last night I thought.

| The kick over the top for Amos's try was superlative. Had that been Barrett this board would have been waxing lyrical. It's a shame that his good work tends to get overlooked. Other fans would be 'bigging up' a player of his quality as a genuine MOS contender but there seems to be a reluctance from our own fans and some even seem to begrudge him any acknowledgement.

It did get a lucky bounce though.

| Lockers has been playing fantastic rugby for us these last few years. People who knock him as just a workhorse should watch The Super League Show every week and see how many of our tries have a major contribution from Lockers. He's got great vision, throws out some crackin passes and does some good attacking kicks as well

| i was talking to a Wakefield fan today about selection of players for England. When it came to loose forward he said that nobody could touch Lockers refering to his strength, workrate, running lines etc etc. He gave quite a good thorough account behind his reasoning. I asked him about other 13's in the comp and the two he thought came close were Purdham and Westerman which i have to agree with. When i asked him about Sinfield and Langley he basically said that Sinfield was lost between 6 and 13 and wasn't either but a fantastic captain so it works well for leeds and langley he basically said he was too big and used more as a extra 2nd row/prop and although a brilliant player wasn't a typical 13. He went onto explain that hed seen Langley develop from a youth (normanton knights i think) and generally thought hed bulked up too much for a 13.
One thing that he said he liked about lockers was the fact that he has inherited the wigan 13 shirt from a recent history of superstars... hanley, Clarke, Farrell and took over captaincy whilst the club was in a downward spiral and his success was credit to his attitude for the game.
Good to hear these sorts of things from rival fans for a change.

| We don't have ball playing, creative loose forwards anymore.
You have to go back quite a few years to have seen one of those.

| I think suggesting Lockers was a major attacking force in previous seasons is going OTT. He wasn't and he never tried things like the kick he did for GB v NZ for McQuire to score for instance for Wigan. Now it seems like the rest of the team the shackles are off. What's changed? We have a new coach and he isn't the captain. Two things I have wanted for a long time and it isn't a coincidence IMO.
