| As you will know I have defended them all over the last 15 months.
Roberts footwork is superb and his reading of the game when he plucked Longs brilliant reverse kick out of the air was my highlight of the match.
Riddell easily won the battle of the hookers v Berrigan, and Fielden was the best prop on the field by some distance.
Long may it continue.

| Very impressed with Fielden tonight. I was also impressed with Coley.
With both Prescott and O'Carroll backing them up from the bench.
Who needs Feka!

| Id bring Feka in for O'Carroll next week, and McIlorum for Bailey if he goes well in the reserves.

How can he be a vital part of the squad when he plays less than 20 mins a game.
We beat Catalan 58-0 without feka playing.
We beat Hull tonight 48-24 without feka playing.
Feka plays and we lose 22-20 against Bradford.
Feka ain't good enough for Wigan.

| I personally think its all well and good defending players but sometimes it has to be taken in context. Amos showed signs of real quality last year but also was average for a good part of the season till he found hit feet. Fielden worked hard in defence but offered nothing going forward. Riddell to be honest i could not understand the criticism of.
If as some would have wanted, with pretty short memories Noble had been given another year I am certain we would not be waxing lyrical about the improvement in certain players. Lets not go OTT and claim they were great all along Fielden and Roberts have significantly improved, and its fantastic they have.
All the people who defend averageness last year and praise improvement this year simply do is highlight how inept Brian Noble and his staff were last year............something I have said for the last 3 years!

I think your being unfair tbh. We would have lost against Bradford had Feka played or not, his defence has improved dramatically this year its just his attack that needs to improve, but it will once he gets used to his 'new' size.

Thats a very simplistic view, and wrong imo.
Feka has the attributes to be a top quality front rower and i'd back him to show it during this year for certain.
Also agree i'd like to see Feka in for O'Carrol not that he had a bad game just continuing the squad rotation, Bailey has been disappointing so far this year and i'd like to see Micky in too if hes back fit.

I will make another prediction regarding Feka, the lad will have a major say in how Wigan go in the playoffs and will be a key player in the Grand Final.

But you have just been saying he gets little game time! How long was he on the field in the 2nd half? How much did he contribute to the 20-0 lead?
He's part of the squad because if you think Preccy and O'Carroll don't think their places are under threat from him you are very much mistaken.
MM has to man manage this so that whoever isn't playing does not get disillusioned and if what I have read about him explaining why players are left out early in the week is true then he is doing so. Feka knows what's required to get in the team but he should also know it's a squad game this year for us. Preccy and O'carroll are simply not going do the full season given the way we play. It's too punishing and we have to hope the coaching staff are working on getting what they want from Feka and he is applying himself to that task.

| Can someone tell me how Craig Fitzgibbon almost at the age of 33 can play 70 mins non stop in a match.
But yet feka age 28 can only manage in total 20 mins a match.

I can but i fear you have already decided its as simple as Feka is unfit and lazy.
Mark my words, if handled correctly and i have no reason to think he will not be by the current conditioning coach in 8 to 12 weeks time Feka will be back to being one of the best impact Props in the game.
This will mean him sitting out some early rounds to work on his power.
