Just so you know (because it confuses every year) there will be two highlights shows on the BBC this Sunday. The normal Super League Show (or the Leeds Rhinos Love In as I like to call it) airs in the Northern Regions on BBC ONE at 2:35pm. Meanwhile at 5pm on BBC TWO there will be a national highlights show airing in all regions for 1 hour presented by Dave Woods. Airing before all games have been played has always been a flaw with the Super League Show. In a week where there is 1 game friday, 1 saturday and 5 sunday you never see highlights of most of the games. They always miss out on showing the sunday games and as the BBC are paying for the highlights you would think they would want to show all of them. A 6:30 PM slot on Monday on BBC 2 would surely make more sense throughout the season as they can show all the highlights and it would benefit viewing figures wise from having a regular slot in the schedule.

Sort of along the same lines what ever happened to Rugby League Raw? It was on at daft o'clock but it was a good highlights show for the playoffs outside Super League. I think it won a few awards as well.

A proper national Highlights show is a must for the next Super League. It is frankly embarrassing that a sport like ours doesn't get any national terrestrial highlights. Rugby Union has a good show which airs at a decent time on ITV4 and gets repeated in a late night slot on ITV1.

For me if the RFL had to fund the show itself it could only benefit the sport.

I wonder how much it would cost to run a freeview channel. Judging by some of the crap available on ours, not a lot.

Well effectively the BBC have at Sport Channel running on Freeview via Channel 301 or 302 which at times shows the Super League show. It's just that you can't find proper listings for the red button stuff anywhere.

Yeah, I've seen that. I was thinking more along the lines of a freeview channel run by the RFL or Super League.

Rugby league raw was absolutly superb, gutted when they took it off air.

As for the BBC they are an absolute waste of space. I was furious last night when they didnt even mention this weekends super league play offs on North West Tonight. They had on for yonks though of course

Does anyone know what will happen with SLS next season, when we no longer have terrestrial tv? All the messing about with when and where it has been shown this season has been ridiculous. My concern is that like everything else on the BBC that isn't a gameshow or hosted by Graham Norton it will get binned off!

The ridiculous thing is that their coverage of CC matches has been bloomin' good this year, particularly impressed by Claire Balding and Robbie Paul. If they got them involved in hosting SLS weekly I think it could be quite a show.

I still prefer SLS to Boots N All.

BNA needs a complete revamp - the guy who hosted the WC shows was ok, why can't sky use him in some capacity? With a little common sense and enthusiasm, BNA/SLS can be really good shows.
