I just watched it on Sky+ as i only got in from work a 21.30. It was a blatent attack to the head with his elbow. Having played rugby for 12 years it can only have been intentional as you just don't do that accidently.

no wind up, players like Platt and Bell were hard men, this fella went for the cheap shot and was too thick to even get it right and connect...pure evil in my book whether he connected or not his elbow was raised and imo intent was there, he [ishould[/i get at least 4 games but bet he doesn't

It was a shocking play. No attempt to make a legal challenge, he simply threw the elbow intentionally trying to fell Tomkins, one of the worst i have seen.

i have seen boxers throw a simillar "punch" in pro bouts, a loose punch with a big elbow follow through, could have easily broken Tomkins jaw.

So you would like to see this in our game more often?
