| A reminder that they have re-timed the academy game at Salford so you can attend both if you wish tomorrow.
Salford v Wigan Under 18s is at The Willows kicking off at 11am.
Wigan v Salford Reserves is at Orrell kicking off at 2pm.
Also Note - Wigan Under 18s play on Thursday Night at Orrell next week. They take on Widnes at 6:30pm.

I can't make the Salford away game but will be at Orrell (Station pub for a beer around 1 p.m)
I'd forgot about the Thursday game, cheers.

| Not the best u21 performance but just enough to see off Salford, who I must say didn't play like they were bottom of the league. Wigan struggled for the majority of the game to get a hold on Salford.
Stand-out performers from Wigan for me were Liam Farrell, Sam Gee and Sam Tomkins (who changed the game when he came on in the 2nd half).
Karl Pryce looked lazy, tired, un-enthusiastic and generally like he couldn't be d. Waste of money and cap space IMHO. Get rid ASAP.

It was.
Farrell 3 tries, Ainscough 2 tries and Marsh 1 try.
Vievers kicked 5 from 6.

Would generally agree, however the abuse he gets from Wigan "fans" is ridiculous. Today he was slated for doing something that a fellow "unknown" player had done immediately before - but because it was him everyone gets on his back.
I know he's a fulltimer and a "Pryce" so treated at a higher standard, but I trust Shaun Wane and Phil Veivers and as long as he wears a Wigan shirt it would be nice for fans to not abuse him - even if you don't want to encourage him.
As for my opinion on Pryce playing wise, its a shame that someone with so much obvious natural talent appears not to have a competitive bone in his body - and not an ounce of adrenalin or passion. Would not get a renewed contract for me (and I don't need to verbally abuse a player but can still have that opinion).

| A couple of observations:
Farrell and Flanagan should be straight replacements for Hock and Lockers next week.
Pryce should go a.s.a.p.
The difference between the two sides today IMO was the introduction of Sam in the 2nd half. Not particularly Sam's individual play but the fact that the whole performance went up a gear and pulled away from Salford.

Completely agree.
I was speaking to someone from inside the club this week who reckons he is one of the most talented players there but he needs a real tough pre-season to get him fully fit.
Will Wigan give him that chance next year?

| Wigan were so short of players today that they named Jon Walker on the bench but he was not fit to play.
In effect they played with 3 subs.
