| That is one player that you shouldn't have got rid of. He's proved that at Hull and Hull KR.

We didn't "get rid of him" - He asked for a move to improve his playing chances.
Trouble is, if we hadn't released him, he wouldn't be half the player he is now.
He was behind Radlinski at the time, and was only getting substitute appearances.
Therefore, Shaun leaving was necessary for his development.
I would love to get him back one day, but to say that we "shouldn't have got rid of" him is absolute rubbish.
We had a world-class full-back in the No. 1 shirt, and Briscoe needed a club that would play him every week.
I'm just glad it all worked out for him, and maybe we'll see him in Cherry and White again one day. Who knows?

| He got away because we had the best fullback in the country and one of our alltime greats in his position at the time.
Nobody can be blamed for him leaving and he won't be coming back anytime soon.
Thats a shame as he's a fine player.

| He did play well, as did Dobbo, I'd like them both back. Saying that, I could actually see Phelps developing into a Briscoe type player.

| Briscoe is a true FB, Richards is a winger asked to play there and is 'filling in' doing a decent job. But there is no comparison between a true FB and someone filling in.
Problem with Wigan is now we have 3 wingers who people want to start, Pat, Amos and and Ainy. Cos of this we've missing out not having a true FB.
Look at the top teams Saints/Leeds, both ave true FB's, its a key role.

| As everyone else has said we thought we had Radders for a good few more years.
It was most defiantly the right decision for both parties at the time cause lets not forget we had Ashton set to be the next big thing and he could potentially have taken straight over from Radders had all Kris’s injuries not have occurred.
It’s just one of those instances where we have been terribly unlucky with Radders retiring and Ashton being a toss pot

You could say the same about the scrum half slot. We have three hookers, Riddell, McIllorum and TL and as such are not quite as good as we should be at 7 wit TL playing there instead of at 9.

Classic.
