Sorry I didn't post this before, as I've not been on.

Noble said this in the post match interview after the Quins match, and I quote; "I've NEVER been afraid to try out the young lads..."

WHAT??!!??

This is the man who's made a career out of picking his mates and out of date combinations that don't work! For example, the only time GB had a convincing win under him was when he was FORCED to play Leon Pryce at stand off against Australia. The following week, Pryce is back on the wing and that nobody Richard Horne is in.

This is obviously in addition to the fans screaming for the youngsters to be played, when he persists in playing overpaid, lazy Aussies.

At least be honest with us, Brian, if not with yourself.

Whats picking Pryce on the wing for GB got to do with him playing young lads?

At Bradford he regulary played young lads. How about Moore, both Pryce brothers,Langley,Reardon,Deacon and others ive no doubt forgot.

He did bring a few through at Bradford but only the ones who were ready for it and who were good enough.

He is not the sort of coach to bring them through just for the sake of it.

O'Carroll and Prescott have been brought in gradually, if they both stay injury free and Prescott can return to full fitness these are two young props who are ready for first team action everyweek. Brian Noble has overseen the gradual input of both O'Carroll and Prescott into the first team and it's proved effective. Lets hope Sam Tomkins and Ainscough follow in the same vein.

Noble at Wigan has picked:
Joel tomkins
Eamon O'Carroll
Paul Prescott
Daryl Goulding
Shaun Ainscough
Sam Tomkins
Lee Mossop
Chris Tuson
Michael McIllorum

That is a quick list of the ones i can think of, that is quite a long list of kids considering he doesn't give youth a chance.

He sacked Moore off, drove Leon out of the club offered Reardon and Langley to Wakefield Trinity.

Deacon played second fiddle to the Pauls and Lowes, but i will give you that.

He also brought Peacock through and then forced him out of the club.

His record is chequered to say the least with regards developing youth for his club.

I think the irony is that he will of course always pick the older experienced player if there is the option to, hopefully he may have learned a thing or 2 last week.

I think the point is he only plays em when forced through injuries and not on merit. If Phelps and Richards were not injured v cas do you think ainscough would have got a chance?

Quote: Andy24 "Noble at Wigan has picked

You are stretching reality. Mossop and Tuson? 1 game when injuries gave him no choice. Joel Tomkins brought through by Millward. Only given a chance by Noble when he had no choice. O'Carrol and Prescott deemed not good enough by Noble who tried everything to sign a prop. goulding brough through by Millward, dropped umpteen times by Noble. Sam Tomkins and Shaun Ainscough only selected when Noble had little choice.
