| On the contrary, McGuire has the world at his feet as a kid, rated as one of the best prospects in the game, even by the Austalians, even Freddy Fittler said he was the best junior half he had ever seen.
He is still a very dangerous player but has never achieved his potential. The older he gets the more sly digs he throws in the tackle and the mouthier he gets. The more idiotic he gets the more of a liability he becomes in defence trying to man up and play the tough guy.
Mush rather have Burrow on the field for 80 than McGuire.

Burrow was Leeds best player today by far, hes doing great at this interchange hooker malarky, a shout for England perhaps? McGuire on the other hand is just declining in the way Leeds as a club are. By now he should have himself nailed on as a true great of the game but he just hasnt developed at all and still plays like a raw teenager.

As an opposition fan I've always hated it when Burrow gets the ball, you always get the feeling he'll break or dodge the tackle, and a lot of the time he does. I think McDermott used him prefectly today and he caused us some real problems.

| When I've watched the match back now I can't believe how bitter they all are in the BBC studio. Davies appears to me at least to be fuming that we won. Constantly going on about how the ref's errors cost Leeds the match. Even Noble are former coached backed Leeds to win from the start, and like Davies was upset that Wigan had won. It has to be watched really to appreciate all the nuances from them both.

| It's good that we beat the top 4 teams to win the cup and they say we cheated to win.
Amazing disrespect from a bunch of has beens.
I dont think Noble wanted to say anything bad against wigan but he could have disagreed with jon-a-bum davies. So he's now on my hate list, just under John Kear, well below Eddie and Stevo.
Glad I was at the match to miss all the rubbish punditary ![DANCE icon_biggrin.gifANCE:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//eusa_dance.gif)

| Sometime during the game Charnley is lay on the floor after tackling one of the Leeds men in touch, McGuire comes over and just pushes him in the face for no reason, earlier in the game he takes a kick and Hansen tackles him in the process so flings his arm around and hits Hansen in the side of the head.
Absolute house and soft as my @rse, prob the softest player in the league but one of the most niggly, someone needs to sort him out.

| Quote ="Omar Little"Quote ="jonh"McGuire is the scum of the league along with mathers. 2 players who like to dish it out and give the verbal's but are not man enough to do it man to man.
His niggling tactics that he seems to have developed in the last couple of years tell a sad story of desperation due to him failing to live up to the billing he was once given as a youngster.
I took no greater satisfaction than seeing Tominks hand off McGuire in a tackle Mcguire really should have made to see him plant it under the sticks after rounding Webb.'"
You've shown up your ignorance there - McGuire has been poor this season (still not recovered from his serious knee injury) but last year he was in the best form of his career ask any Leeds fan.
As for him "liking to dish it out" you couldn't be more wrong - he's a typical stand off and generally keeps well out of the way of any biff. Oh and given that he went for Leuluai after a cheap shot in the tackle isn't that the direct opposite of [i"not man enough to do it man to man"[/i'"
I dont ever want to see Sam going down this path, and there is always a danger of this happening when the rest of the rugby world hates him

This is when Charnley is tackling to prevent the try. McGuire slaps him round the face, almost lifting him up by the nostrils in a 'bowling ball' grip.
If the Leeds players tried playing the game, rather than their house tactics, they may have won yesterday.

1. He's talking about his depression that Wigan beat Leeds on Saturday.
2. His wife died in 1997 and he re-married in 2002 so I doubt he's still 'raw with emotion' on that count either.

Correct. That was possibly an all time low for RLFANS. Priestman85 hasn't been seen or heard of since I don't think, so assume he's gone for good (under that username anyway).

In the past I've rated Davies as a summariser, but, though he's entitled to his views, his attitude on Saturday was quite ridiculous. He seemed completely crestfallen that Wigan had won and made no effort to hide it. Very much like Kear last year.
I'd suggest that if some of these guys want to avoid losing money, they be more careful where they place their bets.

Balding was the instigator and orchestrator of the negativity. At one point she asked if this will long be remembered as the final that we stole from Leeds.
It was a real eye opener with regards to the presenters loyalty's.
Justin Morgan was sat with a little smile on his face though and was clearly enjoying listening to the others drip and moan.
Happy times
