one thing gason is not,he is not a good ref,for one thing his attitude against certain tems and players if studied closely is an utter disgrace.just look at the arrogant attitude on his face in some of the wigan matches,and off the field i am led to believe he is just the same.

I acyually think he's the best ref in SL by a fair distance, and that has nowt to do with him being from St Helens - I just like that he doesn't take any sh*t and a few other refs could take a leaf out of his book when dealing with Sinfield/Eastmond/Tomkins/Briers etc. |

Couldn't agree more.
Everyone knows where the line is with Ganson, if you talk back to him you're sat down for 10 minutes. Seems to get on with the players well too, and to be a top class ref you need a personality. |

Completely agree with you, he used to appear to need to stamp his authority on a game within the first 10 minutes (who will ever forget what he did to Morley against the Aussies?) but as he has aged he does seem to have mellowed a bit and is our best ref by a country mile.
BTW after reading some comments on this thread I think I had best point out that my user name has nothing at all to do with OJ Simpson before someone assumes otherwise  |
