I was there, till the end, none of our fans gave two poops, in fact i saw one old man giving it 'you're gutless wire' and that was it, party atmosphere the whole game, surreal actually, so no there wasn't any fighting, it was just weird, the players just didn't look interested and didn't want to get physical, they looked like they were saving themselves for Wembley, irony being a couple probably played themselves OUT of a shirt.
We were always going to finish 2nd, so i'm ambivalent to the score, if the league was worth winning, we'd have put a better side out and won, truth is tonight was a game no one seemed to have been wanting to picked for, almost like a reserve grade game for a regular first teamer who's peed the boss off.

Agreed. We were getting a lot of stick last week when they beat us and now they go out and get destroyed by one of the worst teams in the league, basically meaning the result against us was meaningless and suddenly the league doesn't matter.

It's a role reversal from last season for both sides. Wire really wanted the title and many Wigan fans wanted the cup. It means something when you give it up the previous year. I personally didn't want the cup this season as last year was the novelty season. The league is the be all and end all and finishing 1st, imo, means your ready for it.

If neither team wins the GF I'd say both sets of fans would be disappointed tho and would have had a unfulfilled season.
