Quote: Bull Mania "Yes apart from Burrows doesn't play for it either. Charnley kicks it onto him.'"

Charnley kicks the ball attempting to run on and score a try, just like Jones Bishop did. Burrows charged it down. Where people get confused is this, the kick from Charnley wasnt great in fact it was a bit embarassing, however Burrows did a great job to anticipate it and charge it down. The question is this, if Burrows didnt chase back, would an unopposed Charnley score? Yes, end of.
Fair decision and a good attempt from Burrows who was their best player. Get over it leeds, the best team in the competition won, the second best team got beat in the semi. eusa_boohoo.gif

I thought it was Sinfield. It was a carbon copy of the one he got away with at the DW.
It's poor that the only tactic to stop Richards is to constantly cheat.

Over the whole game Leeds got the rub of the green on more occasions than Wigan did - it's just that the commentators didn't mention them or keep highlighting them.

Stevo on a Craig Smith intersept, "that was like throwing tomato seeds out of a moving train window and coming back a year later and tomatoes have grown!" Eddies reaction, "I don't know what he's been taking but i wants some" Wayne Rooney, meanwhile, says he has failed to be gripped by England's rugby union World Cup bid. "I've not seen it," said the England striker. "I've been watching the rugby league.":26079.jpg

If i was a leeds fan I would be more concerned as to where my winger was and if he was engaged in something else where was the centre to cover the 20 metre line and open area for the kick return.
Rather than looking at the ref who had to make a decision 30 metres away and at 100 mph look at your own teams positioning. I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure it was the 5th or 4th tackle.

They gave the scrum to Wigan - the officials are in charge - end of.

No one seems to have mentioned Carmont's off-load to Sam about ten metres from the Leeds' line in the first half. Sam dropped it backwards yet the ref gave a knock-on. There were incorrect decisions both ways.
The ref ignored off-side and not square at the play the ball.

Quote: proper-shaped-balls "Sinfield goes for a 40/20, the ball bounces and hits Burrow (he doesn't play at it), it then bounces and goes towards Charnley who tries to get out of the way but it hits him (he doesn't play at it) and it goes into touch. Therefore, head and feed to Wigan as it was a Leeds player that kicked it into touch.

Had it been inside the 20 then it would have been head and feed to Leeds.

Nobody seems to be mentioning McGuire's illegal challenge on Paaaat. No way did McGuire go for the ball, he jumped directly into Pat. Wigan penalty.

Davies really annoyed me at the end when he pointed out those two Wigan "incidents" and didn't mention Ablett or McGuire.
It looked like he was going to burst into tears.

Still, as has already been said, it's history now and we won. Sinfield? I thought it was Finch who made the kick? Even so I agree with the analysis that the ball only went into touch because Burrow made a play at it whereas Charnley did not after it had hit Burrow. Therefore it was absolutely the correct decision. If the ref. made that call in an instant, as we now clearly see it after lots of time to analyse and discuss it, then I am very impressed. We sometimes don't give the officials the credit they deserve.

There was more than a few wrong decisions for both teams. Nobody has mentioned the 20 metre restart when the Leeds player jumped from the field of play into the dead ball area. Still it's all history now!

RLFans finest: [quote="Saint77777":3t42372l]Maguire was a black mark on RL in this country. Whilst coaches like Daniel Anderson and Brian McLennan won championships on the back of exciting Rugby league, Maguire set out to win at all costs, evident by the way Danny Maguire was seriously injured and laughed at on the floor by the wigan players as he writhed in agony. Then there has been the constant bending back of limbs, trying to seriously maim the opposition. Even Phil Clarke has jumped on the bandwagon with his disgusting comments about the Danny Maguire incident. I think its fitting that the 2 fairest teams in the comp, who have been on the receiving end of Wigans tactics should contest the Grand Final and make it a proper family day out instead of the knuckle dragging, salivating neanderthals from Wigan, that would pour into manchester on grand final day. I for one cant wait to mingle with the Leeds fans and have a beer with them, rather than having to watch my arms and legs, should wigan have got there.[/quote:3t42372l]:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_54062.gif

Hang on, what incident are we talking about? I thought it was a kick from Finch? If it's that one then the TJ got it 100% correct.

And the pass for Lima's second was no more forward than the final pass for Leeds last try either, but again, the BBC crew only talked on and on about the Wigan one. Did Jiffy have a bet on the game? He certainly sounded like a sore loser!

When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club. We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens. Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before. Dan Sarginson: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join the biggest name in the competition" 18/10/2013 Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013 Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. And McGuire grounded the ball in-goal when he caught a restart. Peacock (I think) drives it out into tackle one, when it should have been a goal line drop-out.
