It’s ridiculous the club haven’t made an announcement about Custgate!

Must make one soon. I’m disCUSTed. Have we even had any announcements recently? Do we know if we can pay on the gate in 2022? Is the car park open?

There selling season car park tickets as for paying on the gate i do believe the Latics declared it a cash free stadium .

Even worse. We’ll be burning Radlinski effigies at this rate.

All to do with creating a cashless society, so that the paying of VAT cannot be avoided!

Solution - Don't spend any money in the DW stadium.

Match ticket - Wigan RL

Pre-match drinks at Robin Park Arena bar - Wigan RL
Pre-match food - eat prior, hopefully provisions in arena.

My days of spending money in the DW are over, have been for a few years. I'm not a massive drinker that I need beers throughout a match. Especially if I've had a couple in the arena bar before the game.

It's pay and display on arena when you nip to club shop, quid. Was gutted last week, had to use 'trolley quid coin'

Interesting pics from today mate. I know they're only stills and it's hard to get a proper read from them but he looks in good shape, especially for 1st day back.

It would be nice to think he’s worked hard himself in his time off. The fact you get all the tests done on your first day in must be an incentive to not turn up in a poor state.

One thing is for sure with the guy, if he is fit and ready to go, he’ll certainly get us rolling forward. He statistically looked fine in his games for Souths last year. Both him and Ellis did in fact and even more so when you looked at their NSW cup stats. It might not be superleague but Ellis in particular was knocking out huge numbers in that comp.

I'm encouraged by the fact the club are looking for the right kind of person as well as the right type of player. You would hope that they're here to make a difference which would play into them having the right attitude and doing the right things. I've certainly had that impression from the things said by Ellis and Cust. As you say, if Mago has a similar attitude (and I'm assuming from all that's been said that he does) it could make all the difference in the world.

Has he arrived yet or is he flying by steam power?

Bateman has been working with a private trainer, a former Wigan player and I believe is in good shape.
