| Just read on the VT that Sam Moa is ooc at the end of the year?
Forget Griffin, we should be looking into signing this fella. A top player IMO who does not take a backward step.
Having a blinding season (from the games i have seen)
Anyone know if he has been linked anywhere?

| Think I read on the hull board last week that he'd signed a new 2 year deal to stay with them.

If its 400k over 3 years it isnt too bad (apart from signing a 31 year old for 3 years) but if it were that high for one year I wouldnt touch him in a million years you'd have to ship out a load of younger players to accomodate him and it would be idiotic but 400k over 3 years wouldnt be horrendous considering he wont stay for all 3 anyway so having a guy til hes that old probably wont come into it.
And yes i know Morley is 34 now but hes just a completely different entity. I'd give him a 2 year contract at wigan even now ha.

Just you be careful what you say.....
You don't want Paul Yawn to turn up and give you a ticking off again

| Solomona has re-signed for Wire, so someone on a big salary will be leaving if Waterhouse is to sign for them on any kind of decent money.
Griffin is ok on the field, it's off field he seems to be the problem in that he falls out with most coaches he works with.
As far as we are concerned, Carmont may re-sign.
There maybe a chance of talking Coley into doing the same, although it would surprise me.
Hock will replace Hoffman but if Blair doesn't leave Melbourne then Ryan may stay.
Still an awful lot of ifs and but about those supposedly leaving.
If Deacs retires then Mellor to be bench half back.
We need a right centre and right sided play maker too.
Should we sign a right centre and Joel goes back into the pack that changes everything re the forwards for next year and recruitment may not be needed there at all.

| According to the Wire site it will be Louis Anderson leaving. I just don't get the idea of replacing a 27 year old second row with a 31 year old second row (Waterhouse) particularly on a three year deal.

Wire are in a race to win SL before the likes Morley, Briers, Monaghan, Hodgson and a whole host of others aged 30 or over retire. Like you say, signing Waterhouse isn't going to help their course on that front. He is however a far better player than who he's replacing. Regardless of what the Wire fans say, replacing the above mentioned players in the world of an ever increasing NRL salary cap is not an easy task.

| Personally, forwards wise with the ever fast approaching return of Hock/Fielden, I think we're fine in that department. Bring Joel back into the back row from centre and we have a super pack IMHO.
We need to recruit a specialist full back and a centre. Now anyone can sit here and tell me how brilliant Sam is at FB, but my honest opinion is that he is far more effective and lethal in his natural position at half back. He changes games when he reverts to that position. A fully fit, firing on all cylinders Amos Roberts should be at FB IMO. He was devastating last season prior to his injury.
As for centre, Joel is not a centre and should be in the second row where he is far more effective. He isn't a patch on Gleeson at centre IMO.
I fully expect a backlash from some posters but thats just my opinion.

Awesome.
Would love Jennings or Barba in our centres though.
