Richards for one!! And he's not a patch on Richards IMO. Hes about Roberts standard.....good international class wingman but not world class.

He will be a decent signing but hes not in the world class category. TBH I expect him to have a stinker for the first year to 18 months anyway, in the same way as matt king, especially because he has been forced away from home, and will find it difficult with inevitable barking noices from the opposition fans every time he picks up a ball next season! I recon Wire would be better playing Chris Rilley for the first 12 months of his contract for this reason, and he certainly wont be as good as hicks would have been. Could be a mistake by the wires IMO especially in the short term.

Not seen enough of him to say he is or isn't World Class.

Think he was at his best in 2007 and 2008 going off his scoring record at that time plus he got the wing spot for Australia in the 2008 World Cup.

Who knows if he will be better then Hicks was but his scoring record of a try every 2 games in the NRL is decent and I think here is the best place for him right now, its not very often you get to basically trial an NRL player in your team in pre-season training before signing him which is what Smith has done really.
