im a season ticket holder and would have gone , along with the groom, best man, ushers , and most of the grooms side.
It was my bro in law and i couldnt get out of it , and neither could he.

wedding was booked way in advance and done to avoid CC weekend...but IIRC summat happened and they changed the finals date that year from what had been the norm previously.

IMHO i think a new team or one less known outside the rugby world is needed. yes i know i am a wire fan but maybe a Hudderfield v Warrington final will prove to those who arent really into rugby that there is more to it than saint helens and wigan.

though i suppose the two teams who do win this weekend deserve to be in the final.

When it comes to these games all wigan fans ever do is talk about how:

the media/the fans/THE WORLD wants/needs them in the final, or any other variations.

But it's normally about how wigan are famous and why they should be there.

Winning the f*cking game, that's why you should be there.

I'd imagine most neutrals will want a saints v wire final.

It has produced some fantastic games in recent years and it will be nice to see a ''new'' team contesting a final.

Wire also play an exciting brand of rugby.

Wigan play a very dire, negative, repetitive style of rugby.

There will be a better atmosphere with warrington there as well. Wigan fans are old and bitter with the long fatigue of a weary life.

Wire fans will create a carnival atmosphere and be happy to be there whereas wigan fans will go there with the attitude of thats where they think belong.
