| Quote ="NickyKiss"The more I watch Walters, the more I just don't see a Wigan player but there is time for that to change. He doesn't look to have that switch he can flick, that many of our players do, where they go in to that big game mode of concentrating and playing with pace and intensity.
The back end of this season and pre season next year could make or break things for him.'"
Spot on. Someone like Ellis has that switch but his drop off from his best isn’t that great. A few from the highlight reel for Walters last year and I think we’ve ended up expecting too much of him and he just doesn’t have what it takes. He won’t be the first to freeze in the shirt but I’m sure the club will give him some very honest feedback.

The injury didn't help and I do think he can turn it but he is really going to need to improve his concentration and intensity. He looks half asleep at times and that isn't what you expect from any Wigan forward. Ultimately it'll be up to him but we managed to turn Mago around, so it's not beyond the realms.

Getting another good player from Wigan. Frustrating but you cannot see the future when it comes to long term injuries and the kid clearly needs to play.

I never understood the 4 year deal for Leeming with Forber in the wings so to speak. O’Neil is a top class player and a future captain but I suspect he will eventually end up at 13. For me Forber could be another Martin Dermott in terms of his natural ability and his great fast accurate ptb. We’ve cocked up big style when he goes.
A great win tonight after a very iffy first half. Nsemba just keeps on improving.

You don’t. Farrell to the right hand side and keep Nsemba on the left.
Farrell has been a great player for us but the new kid is in town. Farrell is such a professional he probably won’t even shrug his shoulders at the thought. Farrell is the epitome of a team player and if it is the right thing for the team for him to move to the right hand side I’m pretty certain he will be fine with the change. It’s a great “problem” for Peet to deliberate but whatever he goes with you’ve got to accept that he knows best.

I’ve been quite vocal in my criticism of Mago but to be fair I thought he looked good tonight when he came on. Agree with you on Byrne and I’m pretty pleased that he looked more effective tonight compared to his previous performances. Hopefully Peet and his staff have got us turning the corner at the right time.

| Just back at the hotel from the game. Terrific atmosphere reminiscent of old Wembley. Nsemba was brilliant and if we've let Forber go to Salford we've cocked up big time. Fantastic day but not seen the game back yet so you lot probably know more than me! ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

Davidson's been wrong before. Salford have also been linked with a hooker from London but maybe they could use two given Borough and Cust are off to Hull.

I said after that Wire battering that we'd likely be a bit iffy for a while and that I could really see us turn things in that HKR home game. They're playing better than I envisaged, I must admit but I still have a suspicion we'll see our best performance in a while next Friday. Hopefully we'll get Faz back, along with Harry Smith and we can get stuck in to them.

| Nsemba is turning out to be everything I thought Walters would be. Walters in preseason I thought was going to be a star. The game at Hull he played really well, tough. Then in the last minute {I think), even though the game was won, he tries to put on a hero shot and knackers his shoulder. He hasn't been the same since his return, pretty underwhelming. Junior has taken his opportunity with both hands and has gone from strength to strength. He was a colossus tonight. Farrell, when fit, will replace Walters of course. Peet will probably stick Walters on the bench for his utility value going into the playoffs.
Special mention for AK tonight. I think he was a close call for MOM. I actually think he looks a far better half than centre. For me leave Eckersley at centre and let French, Smith and Keighran fight it out for the two spots

It feels like Keighran's a natural left sided player, whether he's at centre or in the halves.

Byrne looked OK, best game from him for a while. For me, he just did the basics well and didn't try too hard, good progress. Massive shame if we lose Forber, never understood why we signed Leeming, even though hes proven a handy signing with O'Neil and Forber's injuries.

| Quote ="DannyT"A lot to review in that game.
The good is digging in and getting the win, minutes for Bevan and Nsemba being phenomenal and pummelling everyone in attack and defence. Thompson again for being the only prop of our rotation to turn up.
The bad is our discipline and our front row rotation. Byrne, Mago and particularly Dupree are killing their teammates with lacklustre effort and attitude. Throw in Walters who again lacks the work ethic to be a top player with us. Any news on Farrell for next week?'"
I didn’t watch the same game as you mate. That was easily Byrne’s best game for some time, Dupree played well. Our problem was basic errors in the first 40 from Field and Marshall. Sort that out next week and we will take some beating.

Mate, you can blame the coaches for that, he has to maintain a weight that, in my view, is unrealistic.

Bad, bad decision from our point of view. His dummy half play is on another level from Leeming.

That’s the comparison I have been making. I said the same to his step-dad, his delivery from dummy half is aka Martin Dermott, and he is the best passing 9 I have seen at Wigan.

What I like about Forber is that he is perpetual motion. Every ptb is his. A good grafter and a decent tackler. No quibbles or play acting just gets on with it.
Personally I’d start him before Leeming every time irrespective of the balance of the remainder of the team.
Obviously Peet mustn’t agree hence the signing of Leeming.
I hope that he leaves the club with a bang

Saw this coming since he was about ten years ago when he arrived at Judes. Fresh, raw and within a fortnight one of the best players on the pitch.
It's lovely to see, he comes from a nice family. Whether he stays at Wigan for the foreseeable future remains to be seen
No doubt the offers from down under will come calling soon (if they haven't already). Let's enjoy him while we can.
